Night Time Death Row The Warden

Well here we are again, with another Night Time Death Row drawing of another character that Lucas will encounter.
and this character is The Warden
So lets get started with his BIO stuff



Name: James Eliot
Age: 85
Gender: Male
YOB: 1928
Occupation: Warden of ADX Florence Prison
Hobbies: Hunting and taxidermy



(Backstory)
James Eliot was a good man through out most of his life, he lived to the fullest, had a job as a warden, had a wife and a happy child. Pretty much everything in his life was perfect... but that didn't last long.
In 1963 after a successful hunting trip, James got into a terrible car accident which damaged the many nerves in his leg, which meant he had to wear a leg support for the rest of his life. James then vowed that he would never go on hunting trips again, however things were only going to get worse.

In 1965 after coming home from work, James came home to witness his own worst nightmare. James found his wife and 5 year old daughter murdered in their own bedrooms by the hands of an escaped inmate named "Russ" from another prison, it of course didn't take long for the police to arrive and apprehend Russ.
James at this time was full of sadness, fear, depression, and rage, and yet he wanted to try to give this man a 2nd chance at life.
yes, despite Russ murdering James family... he still wanted to try to see the somewhat goodness in Russ, learn how he became the way he is and see if he can save in a way, and make him into a productive member of society.

For 10 whole years, James has put Russ through many tests and reviews, seeing what makes him tick, learn his triggering words, learn what other things that triggers him, ect.
In 1975, James declare Russ as fully reformed now as a normal man... that is until Russ than killed James 2nd wife (yes within the 10 years, James did get remarried) Russ killed her with a rusty spoon, after that Russ ran off and was never seen again.
However 19 hours after the murder, Russ came to James house on his knees begging for forgiveness of what he had done.

James said nothing to Russ, and simply invited him into his house, sat him down on a chair, offered him a drink, and then... James snapped as he then began to beat Russ to death with his cane, no longer hearing Russ's screaming for him to stop, all James could see was red. red, red, red as he was beating the life out of the man who ruined his life and wasted half of his life trying to help.
After 10 hours of beating, James wasn't done as he then took Russ's unconscious body, send him to the prison without anyone finding out, and send him to the electric chair. 

Once Russ woke up to see what was about to happen, he begged James once again to forgive him, James said nothing as he then pulled the switch and burned Russ from the inside out.
After the deed was done, James set up the body and stage a car accident, and James got away with what he had done.
Ever since that, James was never the same again as he was cruel, stone cold, and forever believed that anyone and everyone in his prison, weather their crimes were massive or small, believed that they will never change and they all deserve to die.
(End of backstory)





(Game Part)
Just like with Klaus, Lucas will encounter James from a distance
The first encounter, this is when Lucas had just reawaken after his lethal injection, then Lucas found fellow inmate who looked normal enough (he also looked abit sick) from the other side of some bars and was asking on what is going on.
Before the inmate could answer, James found the inmate and immediately began to beat up him without mercy while shouting "THIS IS MY FUCKING PRISON!!!" (at this point, now that everything in the prison has gone down to hell, The Warden has pretty much went fucking nuts, which is why he's already killing)
James beaten the inmate hard enough which caused him to spit some kind of acid stuff onto James eye that burned like hell which made James even more angry as he then beat the inmate down to the ground and stomp his head in until Lucas heard a loud crunch sound.
and James vows that he will kill Lucas soon as he went back to his office




Later on in the middle part of the story, Lucas must go to the warden's office in order to unlock some of the prison gates, however thats not going to be easy as on his way to the office, Lucas comes across multiple bodies of inmates of prison guards dead on the floor because the warden had set up multiple traps on his way back to his office and he will kill ANYONE who gets caught in any of his traps.

(cutscene)
Lucas witness seeing one of the prison guards caught in one of James's bear traps and then gets his head blown off from James hunting rifle.
James aka the Warden: *chuckles as he puts another bullet into his rifle* hope your ready, because tonight *looks into the scope of his rifle and is aiming at Lucas's head* The warden joins the hunt. *about to fire at Lucas but he quickly took cover missing his shot. Grunt in anger* You cant hide  forever! all prey have to come out eventually, and when you least expect it- I'LL HAVE YOUR HEAD ON MY WALL!!!! 
(end of cutscene)


The boss fight begins now, this boss fight is a stealth related boss.
1. If the warden spots you at any time, he will instantly kill you with one bullet (game over)
2. You cant use any of your weapons in this fight because the second that you even TRY to aim at the warden, he will instantly know where you are and will blow your head off (game over)
3. you must stay vigilant of where you step on your way to the office, due to all the traps that the Warden set up in order to get you stuck or blow your cover. If you are caught in any of these traps, you must quickly try to get out of the trap and try to find cover or else, James will find you and blow your head off (game over)


Your goal to this fight is simple, your tasks in this fight are simple as well.
You MUST sneak your way pass through the many traps, and sneak your way into the wardens office without him knowing, and when the time is right, take him out for good.
  
Once Lucas is about to sneak up and take out the warden, they both struggle at first over the rifle until eventually Lucas manage to take the warden out by blowing his head off with his own rifle.
Now with the warden dead, Lucas can now take the key, and open up the prison gates to continue on the story.

Once you kill the warden, you will be free to explore in the office, such as interact with his bookcase where you can find some hunting books that the warden use to read. and in the warden's desk, you can also find his journal where he had written his his many of dark secrets such as the fact that he got away with murdering the man who murdered his family.



When you beat the boss fight with the warden, you'll also unlock a trophy/achievement simply called "The hunt ends tonight" 
and you unlock James old hunting outfit that Lucas aka the player can wear if ya want
So this was all I could work this as a boss fight, so I do hope that u guys like the boss fight thing, but if u don't than thats ok too (I've been up all night re-working on the boss fight part hehe)

(The Art)
So with this drawing, I wanted to draw 2 versions James.
the Left version of James was him before this whole crazy night began. Based his look on Warden Sharp from Batman Arkahm Asylum, with a lil bit of his suit and the walking cane. the standard professional suit with a red tie

The Right version of James is him when all hell broke through. For this design, I wanted him to look... crazy, so I drew him in his old hunting suit that he use to wear before the car accident, which is why his suit looks ripped, tethered, and pretty old looking. Also drew in his leg support, and armed with his hunting rifle.
did I miss anythi- oh yeah! his infected face, looks pretty gross, and I did my best to make it look painfully gross lol
I based him on some characters from the Outlast series, and just crazy old men in general

and no, James never becomes a monster at all, he's just deformed, and he's insane
but in all honesty, thats ok, becomes sometimes the scariest monsters, are the kind of monsters that looks just like any normal human being who has a dark side to them. 

 
This drawing took me like 2-ish days to do, so I do hope u all like it either way ^^
My next drawing will NOT be another Night Time related drawing since my brain is kinda fried from coming up with Night Time drawing ideas, but Im sure I will come up with something eventually
