Physical Appearance

- (Fur) - Kynzi has soft, thick fur that is long like his mother's, and ever so slightly curly where it gets longer. His dark-colored pelt is a few shades lighter than that of his biological father, Kaa's, being more of a dark charcoal grey than pure black, though he has the white on his chest and tail similar to his father. He has more white on his left forepaw, his right ear, and his underbelly. His thick coat of fur is very warm and protects him from the Northern cold, and is very good for snuggling. (And maybe Kyn just enjoys snuggling. Shh.)

- (Eyes) - He inherited strangely colored eyes. The outer edges of his eyes are a light gold, like his mother's, but then the iris itself is green, much like Kaa's, except he has a distinctive ring of orange around the pupil. His eyes are angular but soft.

- (Size) - Kyn is growing up into a strong young adult, but he has a slim, almost feminine body build. He is tall but not bulky, built for speed and agility, with small paws, long legs, and a very long tail. Kyn is just a little bit below average height, but he is very lightweight for a tom of his stature.

- (Accessories) - A plain brown collar holds his ability stones. Kyn does not feel much desire for fancy accessories, though ear piercings are tempting... even if solely because Iorek and Clementine have them.

Personality

- (Inquisitive, Truth-Seeker) - A trait lingering from his kithood, Kynzi can be very inquisitive and curious about his surroundings, sometimes coming off as naive or silly with some of the questions he asks, such as whether or not fish are capable of swimming in snow since it is technically just frozen water. Some of his questions are more serious and completely logical, on the other hand, especially as he matures and grows. He can ask some very insightful questions, always having the urge to understand, especially when it comes to understanding other cats and why they are the way they are.

- (Empathetic) - This bit of his personality has only recently begun to bloom. As Kyn matures, he becomes very aware of the cats around him in a new way... he seeks to understand them, and help them if he can. This is not necessarily reserved only for his kin or friends, not even just those of his own region. Kyn is sensitive to the pain of others, and desires nothing more than to help them, making a name for himself as a cat who is heroic with a heart of gold.

- (Daring, Defiant) - Kynzi is not easily intimidated, at least not by the same thing more than once. He is capable of being afraid or startled, but don't think you can scare him a second time... With a fire in his eyes and a stubborn set to his jaw, Kyn will do anything he sets his mind to, even stare down an enemy much larger and stronger than himself, or take insane risks for the sake of doing the right thing. He will even disobey orders from his own leader (who is also his guide and foster father!) if he disagrees with his judgement. Kyn obeys no orders he sees as unfair, and is not afraid to back-talk and argue.

- (Justified) - Kyn has a ferocious sense of right and wrong, and desires to always do the thing he deems as "right," even at great cost to himself. He wants to make the regions a safer place for the next generation of kits born. He refuses to do anything that could harm innocent cats, be it abandoning them in a time of need or even telling a lie that could be hurtful in the future. Guilt and fear drive him to be the best cat he can be, the insecurities of his heritage looming over his shoulder... he knows that he looks like the frightening Captain of the Followers, Kaa, and knows that he is his son, but he is determined to make his name be remembered for heroic deeds, not villainy and murder.

- (Loving) - Though on a quest to become a hero, Kyn still has time for his family... He is a very loving, tender cat, willing to share his nest with his littermates when they feel stressed or sick. It is impossible to make him angry at a loved one for too long; he always has forgiveness for those in his heart, no matter what they might have done to hurt him. He has a tendency to take burdens upon his own shoulders to protect those he cares for, but never complains. It is his love for others, and in turn their love for him, that keeps him going.

- (Emotionally Vulnerable) - All of the recent changes in Kyn's demeanor can be harmful on his psyche... Sheer stress causes him to be a little easily angered. His short fuse burns out quickly, and his anger burns hot. Prone to feelings of betrayal or abandonment, he struggles with the idea of being unloved or unwanted.

History: BEFORE THE TRUTH

- (Before Birth) - It all started with three cats, all young adults in the North Region; Iorek, Kaa, and Clementine. The trio were best friends, and the latter two even more than that; they admitted thir love to one another and became mates. However, there would be no happily ever after for Kaa and Clementine... Kaa was a murderer and traitor who associated with the Followers. Iorek soon found out about his friend's betrayal, and they fought alone in the woods, with Iorek being fed by rage not only for the betrayal, but also because Kaa, his friend, had murdered his own Rookie. The fight dragged on, until it eventually ended with the death of one of the toms... A black-furred body laid on the ground. Kaa was dead. Iorek panicked and fled, only to return to his Region a few moons later to explain what had happened, and was pardoned for killing Kaa... Though, Iorek wouldn't live in peace knowing he had his Region's forgiveness. Clementine had kits in his absence... Kaa's kits. Iorek, now having lost one friend to death and the other to distrust, did the only thing for Kaa and Clementine that he could; he offered to be a father to the kittens, an offer Clementine couldn't resist at the time. Thus, together, they formulated a lie that the tiny kittens would believe for moons upon moons to come...

- (Kithood) - Kynzikaa was named by his mother; she didn't outright call him "Kaa" after his biological father, fearing that the others would not approve, so she named him "Kin of Kaa," or Kynzikaa. She fondly called him Kynzi, but most others simply shortened it to Kyn. He was one of the smallest of the litter at birth, only to outgrow his sister, Olive, when she became sickly. Aside from his sister's ailment, there was little incident for the first three or four moons of his life. Kyn was a happy, healthy, energetic kitten with littermates to play with, a loving mother to snuggle with at night, and a father to look after him. However, by the time he was about five moons old, he began to experience odd feelings of distrust and suspicion towards his parents... The inquisitive cat had noticed how his parents seem to have little or no affection towards one another, which was unusual for cats who were supposed to be mates. His mother looked angry, distrustful, and sorrowful, while his father looked regretful and almost empty sometimes... They couldn't seem to look one another in the eye. Kyn has bitten his tongue and not asked his questions... For once, he was afraid to ask.

- (Rookieship) - Kyn has just begun his Rookieship, training to be a Warrior like his mother and father. He's a bit small at the moment, but his fierce determination and enthusiastic pursuit of skill make him a good student. He'll grow into a capable warrior someday, and for now just enjoys spending time with the other Rookies of all kinds; crafters, hunters, tamers, healers! He socializes with all. However, his questions about his family still nag him occasionally, and for the first time in his life, this six-moon-old kit actually avoids his parents a little... Or, at least, avoids being with both of them at the same time...

History: AFTER THE TRUTH

- (The Truth Unveiled) - Kyn has finally found his answers regarding what secrets his family has been keeping from him... he now knows who his true father is. His entire world has been turned upside down, his trust shaken and sense of self vanishing. Desperate to make himself his own cat, rather than anyone's "son," he has promised himself to move through his training faster than any warrior before him. His goal is to be named a warrior at ten moons old, if he can, and twelve at the latest.

This is in part because of his own startling appearance, with his multicolored eyes and bold black-and-white pelt. He is attracted to cats who stand out from the crowd, much like he does.

Preferences (Personality): The personality matters more than appearance-- once he gets to know you, his impression of you can change. He is of course more interested in a cat who is kindly, selfless, but with a bold personality. He tends to have more of a brotherly relationship with timid cats, but is romantically attracted to those who can match his energetic, fearless pace as he moves through life. He likes ambition and courage, and wants to be in a relationship with a cat who can not only keep up, but perhaps rival him. Elements and pasts do not matter much to him; he does not care to judge a cat for what their powers are, or who they might have been in the past. What matters is who they choose to be. The little dark-furred tom really didn't want to hear it... He ducked his head lower, almost to the floor as he stooped forward, ears quivering. He hardly listened to the story Iorek told, muttering under his breath as the big tabby tried to explain everything. "No... no..." He didn't care about the part where Iorek and Kaa were friends, or how in love his true parents had once been. His father was a murderer, and a Follower, and both Clementine and Iorek lied to him and his litter mates about it. It would have been less painful to know their father was nobody they wanted to know from the start... maybe he could have been prepared to learn more about him, or could have easily dismissed thoughts about the one who looked like him altogether. He could have been happy with just his mother and his littermates. He could have been, right...?

Feeling confused and betrayed, the kit rose to his paws and lifted his eyes just enough to glare at Iorek, tears blurring the bold green irises he had inherited from his father. "You think we'd try to hurt you?" His tone was oddly serious, kept low and quiet, though his voice cracked here and there as he tried not to cry. "Or was that just directed at me?" Anger showed in the multicolored depths of his eyes. All the times Iorek looked at him with that sad, suspicious look... anytime he uttered his full name... when he watched him train in the ways of a warrior... he thought of Kaa. And now he was expecting anger and violence, as if he really was just a smaller version of the one who sired him.

Kyn turned away, sniffling as a little sob came out of his mouth. As angry as he was, the kitten-like need to cry was starting to take over. "I... I'd never hurt anyone... I-I just want to protect them, f-from bad animals and cats like the Followers..." He started to take a few steps towards the exit, paws clumsy as he sniffled and coughed, tears running down his face.

He raised his voice as he continued, "I'm nothing like him! I'm your son, but I'm not Kaa's, either! I... I don't have father!" He shook his head, refusing to see either the liar or the murderer as such. "And I don't need one! I'll become a strong warrior without your help!" He coughed, sniffling and raising one forepaw to rub at his face. "Y-you'll see... I-I'll do it all b-by myself..."
