The 4th edit, at a few people's suggestions: I decided to add a blue sky, some clouds and some leaves over the skirt. I also made the butterflies smaller, to give it a better sense of reality
I also added back the watermark, as I do not want my work stolen in any way, so I apologize for it.
There have been a few people asking me to make a wallpaper version of this, but making a wallpaper means altering the whole concept of this manipulation, and I do not wish to change it in any way. I am sorry to say this, but please understand that I don't want my work to be used in any form. If you like it, then feel free to visit my shop.

I can't believe I got a DD! I would like to thank all of the people who had time to view and fav this piece. I know it is far from perfect, and I am happy that many of you guys liked it. Thank you again for those many, many, many favs and awesome comments!

3rd EDIT: I hope I finally made her skirt blend in ok with the leaves. What do you say?
RE-EDIT: Moved the model back up, where she originally was (but I am still unhappy about the way her skirt looks on the leaves) and I also sharpened her a bit.
EDIT: I added a few more blur to the trees. Hope it looks even more realistic now

Ok, so this is the final version of [link] and I'm god damn proud of it!
Thanks to ~azrael-x64 for all of his help.
I made 10 versions before it looked like this, and I wasted an entire day
But I learned tones of useful tips from him, and I will definitely use them in my next manipulations
Also, thank you to all of you who viewed and faved the scrap. I hope you'll like the final version better

Given 2009-07-04From the suggester "It is so well done, that it actually looks like a real photo, like the girl is actually there, surrounded by the butterflies and the red trees and leaves.
I have seen photomanipulations before, and they all looked fantastic, but not real. I like this particular manipulation because of the sense of reality when looking at it" Breathe Into Me by =skyleaf (

I love the song in general, and I think this art helps put even more into it. Good job^^ I'd be mad too if something amazing like that were to be stolen.
There is no words to describe this... Oh, wait, I think I found some!
The colors that you use are just beautiful and vibrant, love the splashes of green. THe butterflies are a pretty and nice touch too; the girl is also pretty.
Superb job!!

If you want to change it into a wallpaper without changing the image, you could add some reddish brown borders on the left and right to make it fit the screen.
ok serious question, is that a picture or a drawing i really cant tell, if its a picture nice work, what kind of camra did you use, and if its a drawing.....HOLY CRAP!!! what did you do to get THAT good
Absolutely stunning image; no idea how you've created it but it is just so beautifully eye-catching. Simply beautiful.
I'm not sure if I commented on this but I think it looks amazing. This is what I picture in my head when I write.

For one, the blending / blurring is a little severe. I find the blurring to be a bit too much in the background, making the figure stick out a little awkwardly. Perhaps some smoothing out of the bottom of the gown, as well as some more work with the sharpness level of the background stock, would help. However, it is a brilliant way to use the chosen stock for the background, and vision-wise, it's very beautiful.
A couple of the butterflies also look a tad "sticker-ish", like they're not blended entirely into the picture itself--particularly the maroon one on the left, and the mauve one over the girl's head.
Otherwise, fantastic work. I REALLY love this piece!
One common criticism that I've seen with this photo is certainly the blur. Although it's not so obvious at a distance, it really does show when fully zoomed. I want to argue that it's not severe, just exsessive. It's a very good touch and does add to the over all atmosphere and focuses myself on the main subject, but perhaps the level of this blur could be toned down next time.
Another slight ctiricism, one which might cause a little arguement, are the butterflies. I'm not saying that they ruin the photo, because that's not true. They don't seem to be in the right places to me and they're too sharp when compared to the background, even though they may seem to be in the forground. Other than that they really do add that feeling of beauty to both the Autumn scene and the model. Excellent stuff.
Now, onto the good stuff. Firstly, the photo is ever so vibrant. The level of colour saturation is well balanced throughout, neither too strong nor too dull. It's suited well for the scene and the model. And speaking of the model, she's a real beauty. Skin tones are wonderful, expressions are perfect and body language is top notch.
Secondly, the setting is perfect. Trees are everythere and, though I can see that they have been mirrored, they are perfect to showcase any Autumn setting in a photo. Kudos to you once again.
Really, this is an amazing photo and criticisms I've addressed are extremily minor and most people and fans of your photography shouldn't notice these because your photos are still wonderful to look at. I am very glad to have given a critique on this photo. It's been a pleasure. Good luck with your future photography.
