There is something about this...I'm trying to figure out why I like it so much. Maybe it's because I can relate, maybe because it is merely beautiful. But there is something extra special, and it's a :+fav:

I know it doesn't mean much, but I just wanted you to know I think you're beautiful girl, both inside and out, not to mention extremely talented.
Stay strong, and good luck! :huggle:

I'm not being too kind, it's all the truth, girl.
I just hope one day you can see what everyone else can, just remind yourself that even though you can't see it, underneith the distortation, yo are a beautiful person. :rose:

Well, I'm getting a little better about encouraging myself and not having such a hard time with body image. It's definitely a process!

Body image is, unfortunately the last thing to go with an eating disorder.
One thing that I find that helps is putting self-affirmation notes on mirrors around the house.
If you're ever having trouble, give it a try.

Exactly.. I feel it may never truly go away but as long as I can enjoy what I eat, which I can now, then I've made some good progress.

Self affirmation, man that was a key part to my recovery from anorexia, and the traumas of my past.. they had me write 10 affirmations every single day.. it was so incredibly hard at first, but then the more I did it, the better I felt until I was finally able to accept the person I was.

Thank you again for all your support and encouragement. :thanks:

That's more than just good progress, being able to enjoy food again is a huge deal, not to mention takes amazing perseverance!

And self affirmation is incredibly hard, right now I'm just sort of in the "fake it 'till you make it" mode. I figure if I just keep saying it, it'll seep in eventually. But I'm so glad to hear you've made it to a point of self-acceptance, you're so strong to have been able to do that!

Thank you so much, and definitely the fake it til you make it strategy was the same approach I had to take. It really does work if you keep at it!! I'm so glad to hear we can relate with that one.

I really like the coloring used here. Along with your sassy stance, it sets the tone nicely.

its a very bold photograph, your stance is both bold and reserved, dont know if that makes any sense...
