Sonic Neo: Shadow the Hedgehog's Past
1960s
In the year 1964, on December 20th, Shadow the Hedgehog, alongside his twin sister, Scarlet the Hedgehog, were born on the planet, Black Darknest. Shadow and Scarlet were created by scientific experiment works from Nyx the Black Sorceress (formerly known as Nixie Greyber), and the DNA of their father, Black Doom. Their form as hedgehogs came from a copy of a mural stone image from Mobius in Mystic Ruins, the depiction was a gold hedgehog battling a humanoid figure.
With the help of the Black Sorceress herself, Nyx created special equipment for Shadow and Scarlet. Nyx created golden bracelets called: "Limiter Rings", their purpose is to keep the Hedgehog Twins' powers in control, once they take it off, they unleash unlimited chaos energy for a brief time. Nyx also created unique running shoes for the Dark Hedgehogs. For Shadow, he has what they're called: "Air Shoes". As for Scarlet, she has what Nyx calls them: "Blade Skates".
