XPS Advanced Shadows
Only light 1 (in lighting paramters) is used by advanced shadows. If you want to change the direction of the advanced shadows, edit light 1.Light 2 and light 3 do not cast any advanced shadows. They just function like they normally do.When you have selected a slider you can use the arrows to move it one step at a time.
How to make cartoon styled model in XPS
Needed tools: XNA posing studio (XPS) , notepad++
1.Load a model in XPS, save the model as Generic_Item.mesh.ascii in order that you can edit it in notepad.
2.Use "Change Materials" (Ctrl+T to) to see how many render groups in the model.
3.Open Generic_Item.mesh.ascii in notepad++ and use "Replace" (Ctrl+H)
4.Select Extended (\n,...) in "Search Mode"
For example: there is no transparency in render group 24
You should write : Find what: "\n24_" Replace with: "\n10_", then click "Replace All" ("\n" means a newline, and it means that changing render group from 24 to 10)
there is transparency in render group 7
You should write : Find what: "\n7_" Replace with: "\n21_", then click "Replace All"
5.You should change the transparency render group number to 21, and non-transparency render group number to 10.
