Depth of Field Tips for Flower Photography
Animals, Plants, & Nature Week Poppies in the Blue Daily Deviation 7/8/2015 Hello! My name is Ruth, though I am commonly known as kayaksailor (https://www.deviantart.com/kayaksailor) on DeviantArt. I have been a photographer for most of my life, adding up to more than a half century of taking photos!  I made the official switch from film to digital in May 2007 (about the same time as I joined DA) after getting my first dSLR, a Nikon D100, at a yard sale. As I am rather fond of flower gardens and the accompanying insects, those are my primary subjects and will be my examples for this article. Personal taste will dictate your scenes! Today's article will discuss some Depth of Fi
The Neglected Importance of the Online Community
What is the Worldwide Online Community? The Worldwide Online Community is simply a group of people from a wide variety of countries and continents who come together to share their skills, experience, and/or love for a subject. Online communities are a fairly new faction and are not fully understood, their importance is neglected and may not reach their full potential until the next generation incorporates them more and more. It wasn't until the '90s that the Internet or World Wide Web really became a part of the culture, but in less then 20 years its impact has changed society from top to bottom. This means that you will begin to get even more solicitations from those authors looking for artists to bring visuals to their words. If you have a website or have done any degree of online advertising of your artwork, you have probably gotten an e-mail with a simil

Have you ever browsed around the Animal section in Paintings or Drawings? I bet a lot of you have not! I don’t know why you people are not looking through it because there are a lot of great unseen animal art out there. Since not many people are looking through all of the great animal drawings and paintings, I thought I would bring some of the good ones to you!

Here is my second issue. There are many more great drawings and paintings. I thought I would clear up some things in this issue. All of these pieces of artwork in this issue and in the next ones to come have 100 or less views. In the first I noticed that some had like 300+ so from now on to get in you have to have 100 or less views for the piece of artwork.

:star: All of the artists have allowed me to use their work in my news entry. I would like to thank all of the artists, if they had not gave me permission, there would be no article! :( :star:

:bulletred: We will start off with twenty unseen but great animal paintings! I hope you like them, please feel free to comment on and/or favorite them. :painter:

:bulletred: Finally, we are now to the twist I was talking about. Every two months I am going to be putting five or six stock images of animals. This is just to maybe help some artists with something to draw. You can submit stock photos too, just like drawings and paintings but only every two months. I hope you like them, please feel free to comment on and/or favorite them.

:star: Thank you to all the artists, you have great work and keep up the good job. Thank you to everyone who comments, puts in a piece of art that they think should be featured, and to everyone who favorites the article! :star:

:bulletblue: This is the second in the series. There is going to be a new one every month. If you have any good animal painting or drawings please post them in here. :) WAIT! They just don’t have to be yours! :D If you seen someone’s that you really like and think it should be featured and it is unseen, post it here and it may be featured in the next issue! Again thank you to everyone who gave art and let me post their art! :D

I know how you feel, animal art seems to sometimes get pushed aside. I am glad that someone is trying to show people that there are many great artists out there that paint animals!! I myself, that is all I really like to paint. Animals are amazing and to capture a feeling in their eyes are my goal!

Not just animal art! It is traditonal art. Everything on the from page is always computer made or pictures. You barley see traditonal art.
