This is the "Granting Witch of Desire Alter". This altar contains a soul of an unnamed, unknown Witch that has the power to make your wishes come true. I constructed the foundation of this altar with wood i purchase from the store (creating a table and post for my painting). The outer limits of the altar contains the realm of chaotic souls in which the Witch is surrounded by constantly. You can see images of tormented souls in the base and columns of the altar (painted on using red sedona wood stain and black oil paint). The 4 columns represent symetry and architecture, which are symbolic of mankind. The chains surrounding the piece are symbolic of the constraints that exist in nature (this is jac chain, nailed on at certain points). In the center area you will notice steps and a pool on top. These steps and pool were painted white, along with the hanging fabric to show purity (the fabric is velcroed to the wooden base and sprayed with adhesive at the bottom). This energy from the color white is neccessary to grant your wishes. Surrounding this white area (Gloss finish to make it shine) salt was used to contain purity from the outter chaos. There is sacred blood (red oil paint) in the center pool (Carved out using a dremel 4300 sanding tool), that flows to three points bundled in rocks (green stones i purchased from the store, glued down using super glue). The three stone circles represent life (right stones), death (left stones), and purgatory (center stones). This can also be related to positive, negative, and neutral. The understanding of these 3 principles are neccessary in granting your wishes. As the blood flows through them, you begin gain all profound knowledge and simplicity of existance. Behind the pool is a place for incense sticks (drilled out hole). Incense is used to give focus and pleasure to the wish maker. On top of each of the four columns there is a place for candles, which is also neccessary for the focus and manifestation of your desires. We are in ourself but balls of light and fire and should heed the power of the flame. The painting (my art work, painted on canvas with the use of oil colors) contains the image of the Witch. As you can see her face and body are made up of other souls. Upon granting your wishes, a part of your essence is bonded with the Witch, as seen in the painting. The frame was painted using black oil paint. The trees (siliconed into a hole i drilled in the base) on the altar are a representation of earth and the plain where your wishes will be granted. The noose represents humans knowledge of suicide. Knowing you can end your life at any time and refusing to do so shows bravery in itself. It is there to test your will and fortitude. This altar is no toy and has real energy built into it. You should know, sometimes just believing in something is enough to make your desires come true.
