Something I tried with some new software i've been using, I probably could have done a bit more on this but i'm moving on.

Any comments welcome! :D

Edit: I used Corel painter 12 and added some textures not included with the original software with the help of Skip Allen.
Please check this guy out he is awesome and has some fantastic brushes that I guarantee you will find useful if you use painter.

Gorgeous! Why I think of Asia looking at those sharp hills?

I love how you made the trees by the bottom of the mountains... Looks so detailed. The water and sky looks lovely, too. -3-

Very pretty! I love the transition from super-sharp blades of grass in the foreground to more impressionistic background. Very nicely done.

Thank you :) I wanted to create depth and also add scale without introducing a random figure. I find this method works well for me most of the time.
Many thanks for commenting

Wow, I love how you do the clouds. Will you do a tutorial ever?

:) not any time soon I'm experimenting at the moment with digital art, just a beginner really.
If you want to paint clouds like this though try using a wet brush and build highlights to create edges.

Hope this helps and many thanks for the comment.

This is really nice. Looks like such a people place :)

I like how you did the water with the ripples and everything...looks very realistic. And so do the clouds (and the grass, and like everything else).

What program did you use?

Thanks for the comment I really appreciate it :)
