I'm rarely on here, but I am trying to build up my online presence in positive ways again. I spend too much time on social media and flash games and too little time creating my own stuff. I need to remember I have outlets for creation at my disposal.
I hope to be around more in 2018.
So, for the past couple years I have been struggling with some serious depression. It has taken it's toll on absolutely every aspect of my life; friendships, self esteem, and motivation are the biggest victims. I have lost my ability to draw. Every time I put pencil to paper nothing comes out, or if it does, I am completely unsatisfied with it.
I used to love drawing because it gave me an outlet. I could draw whatever I wanted, whomever I wanted, and it was fun! But somewhere along the way my depression started talking and all it told me was "you're no good!" or "give up, everyone else is better!". I lost the ability to have fun with what I
Look what ~dreamwatcher7 (https://www.deviantart.com/dreamwatcher7) drew for me! I'm speechless and touched! I've never received gift art before!
You are a total sweetheart! My two biggest fandoms together!
Well I made a lot of resolutions last year and hardly kept any of them, save to save money for a trip to Scotland. I ended up going to NYC instead to see Morning Musume, but I wouldn't have traded that trip for anything. It was a dream come true to see Sayu on stage before she graduated. NYC I have been to multiple times before so that wasn't anything spectacular, other than hitting up the Disney store and being disappointed by the change in Book Off - seriously, where the hell did all the Japanese merch go?! It used to be the whole main floor and is now relegated to the basement! Oh and I finished TWO quilts, so I have that going for me too.
This fall has been BUSY! September was very busy with a major project at work and then moving house. In October I went to NYC to see Morning Musume live (DREAM COME TRUE!) and then spent a few days at home in Maine. The tail end of October was of course, Halloween! I hope everyone had fun! This month I started busy with Nano, then got sick :/ so that has slowed down, though I am writing again so that is great. Slowly getting ready for Christmas too.
I hope everyone is enjoying the last of 2014. Let's make 2015 a great year too!
