I forgot to update this yesterday! :( I'm sorry.

School has been busy and I've been sick *sigh* But still at least school has been fun or at least intersting :)

So on to the next three people I want to talk about and pimp out.

:iconseconds-design: He is my wonderful helpful advisor and critic. While we don't use the same programs, he does have experience with 3D and always has something helpful to say. He also points out problems I've overlooked. He's also fun to chat with and a culprit behind some of the long threads of conversation :D Thank you for being so awesome :D

:iconrukirisa-chan: Well first of all, she's my partner in crime, er, writing for My Life as a Companion. She kindly asked if I would like to write it with her which was totally awesome. She's also a great photographer and has lots of cool/cute/pretty photos in her gallery. She's friendly, and wacky and fun to chat with :D.

:iconmidorikoneko: She's awesome. I've known her for awhile now and she's always great to talk to - very friendly and fun. This is a woman who has dipped into a lot of different art forms. But she is particularly interested in drawing, writing and colouring. And, she's really good at both. She has a great gallery. Go poke her. She needs poking :D

The Threat of Leaving by MidoriKoneko
Catch A DreamI'm not sure what made me stop at first. I never stopped for the homeless, not once. They were just a part of the scenery, another park bench, another over-full trashcan, another man with a scraggly beard or woman with baggy clothes and half starved children. I don't know what I saw in that same change can that everyone else sported. Maybe it was the Nikes next to them.
Never the less I did stop on that cold May morning in our concrete jungle on Twenty-first Street by the Macy's to drop the change I had into that old baked beans can, and the man behind the beard stirred, looking up at me.
"You may keep your change Ma'am." he said, a little gruffly, then looked out at the urban street again, ignoring me completely.
"I'm sorry?" I asked, affronted. "I'm trying to help." I reached down, a little angry with him, a little embarrassed at myself, and snatched my change away.
"No harm meant Ma'am." he replied. "I just ain't looking for handouts."
I knew arguing would get me nowhere. Besides, I

:glomp: You're deserving :D And yes you are! Well one of them...I few culprits including me lol.

I am playing Other M, but not as much as I'd like...and a boss annoyed me which doesn't help matters. I need to get back! But, yes, I'm enjoying it, though so far I prefer Metroid Prime. I just find it more atmospheric. But all in all, so far so good.

Midori says :iconnouplz: in regards to being poked.

Thanks =) lol, I guess we are, but that's all good!

Not enough time to play it ftl, though I found that playing it goes pretty quickly, a lot faster than any of the prime games, which I must agree are a lot more atmospheric. Other M mostly seems confining in space and where you can go. It's still a lot of fun though. What boss are you on?

Heh heh.

Other M feels more like the platform ones like Super Metroid or really like Metroid Fusion - especially with the Bottle Ship. Bottle Ship - Biologic Space Labs. Samus is a lot more acrobatic though :D I am having fun with it.

I am on the part where you go on the lift after fighting the maintenance bot. You have to fight two waves of Super Zebesians and then get attacked by *checks game faqs* Redogian. I've only tried twice I think...maybe three times, but it's nasty!

Pretty much it is like taking Fusion, turning it "3d" and adding in elements from Super Metroid... only much shorter than either. Which is kind of neat... although if you look closely at some of the texturing and plain 2d models, they are really poor quality. Which I found very disappointing, I know I'd never be proud enough to release such textured models (i.e. the vines in sector 1, the ice crystals in sector 2...). Though the agility is neat, dodging attacks and everything. But with all the limited areas to explore I'd call it a 2.5d.

Ahh, after you fought the "Deleter". They placed a video clip poorly around there, shows the deleter offing someone else but far away and you just barely get going but poof he's far far away... Yeah, the first time I fought him I died several times, pretty much you have to rely on the sense move to dodge and charge your beam and hit it with missiles when... (too much?)

2.5d, that's a good way of putting it. I haven't looked too closely at some of the models and I've been playing it on a rather small tv...

Not too much. Advice welcome. I really need to play again soon, before I completely lose the controls. Then things will get very hard :O

If you look close at the icycles hanging down from the ceiling you can easily spot those ones, very jagged and pixilated. Though they'd be harder to see on a small tv, at least in 3rd person.

Well, the other thing to do is every now and then it goes to charge up an attack, that's when you have to quickly missile it. Hurt it enough and it'll flee to be fought again later. Yeah, the controls are kind of odd, flipping back and forth can be aggravating.

Most of time I don't mind the controls, but it can be a pain in more intense fights bouncing between 1st and 3rd person view.

Way to not update when you're supposed to! Haha, jk, jk. :manhug:

I'm fending off that evil sickness that rolls around every October, and have my fingers crossed not to catch it (which I'm going to get anyways, but w/e). ;P

Yay for pimping people.

Apparently there is typically a week where lots of people get sick but that was supposed to be last week. Everyone's a week late. I'm not sick of school...maybe a little of the work load...

I hope I pimped out everyone well including you last week :D
