February by SiverCat February by SiverCat
February for the next calendar I do...this was originally for the 2011 calendar I had been working on. Now everything's just going to be moved to 2012 since I'm beyond late. Decided to do something Valentines Dayish for February and nice.

Aww, a very romantic scene here, fits quite well with February and Valentine's day. I imagine quite a few guys go out and propose on that day. Your work with tablecloths has improved, can easily see its folds in this one. The rose looks rather nicely modeled as well, definitely quite intricate, as indicated by the shadow on the wall. The lighting all around looks pretty good, although it looks a bit rectangular around the candle's flame. Also her bracelet seems a tad low and creates an odd indent in her arm/wrist/hand there. However, the bracelet itself has a nice shine to it so you can tell it's a gold bracelet. The glass with the wine is nicely done with good transparency and can tell the wine is inside the glass. I think you'll be able to get this calendar done in time for 2012 =D

Thank you!

It's actually the same tablecloth. I reused it, but I did make some alterations. I am very pleased with the rose thought it's less visible here. I orginally made it for a Mother's Day card :). Yeeah, I'm still not exactly what I'd call skilled with glow effects, and I'm not sure how to avoid the squarish look. The wine glass took some experimentation. I'm glad it worked.

I should be able to get it done! Only three months left lol.

Welcome =D

Ahh, the alterations really helped it along then. Roses do seem to go well with Mother's Day cards :nod: Yeah, have to tinker more with the settings and experiment with it. Your experimentation with the workings of the wine glass turned out very nice. =)

3 to go and 7 months to do them in! Seems like plenty of time eh? :P
