i just saw your gallery and i think there is a significant improvement in your latest works, i like the 'City of exiles - Ascension' the most. you need to pay more attention to detail and lighting but you will get there! so, instead of making a lot of images, try to make less but more detailed. sketch them on paper first..and dont be afraid to play with more colorful lights..place them where you want, dont limit yourself with realism..use more warm/cold contrasts..and postwork in photoshop is very important too; i usually apply some curve adjustments or saturations...or darkening some parts of the image to accentuate the important parts...
also, '' i saw the sky'' looks promising. a lot of effort! my advice for animations: keep them short and nice. dont try to make a looong story because you will get tired quickly, especially if its your first animation.
