Awesome gallery.
I love the variety of setups, poses and scenes.
And I especially love the "texture" of the images, the rubbery/leathery/metally feel to the fabric.
I don't know how you do it, but I like it.

Thank you very much. :)

The texture thing? I just apply the most rudimentary "bumby texture", uh, texture (can't check the correct name now) on a flat surface, then start darkening and lightening, doing this chaotic zbdbjhrcx-pattern. It's fast and simple. :D

It's always "fast and simple" when you know what you're doing.:) (Smile)
And what you're doing is fantastic.

I don't consider myself a "3D artist" because all I do is apply ready-made shaders to ready-made props I position on ready-made environments...

But you, creating those decors and especially the "armors" is, for me, amazing. I love the detailing in "Seamus - The Entrance" and "Andromeda Ryder", reminds me a little of Rick (4-F) art when it comes to armors / bodysuits.
:iconrick-4f: in case you don't know who I'm talking about.

You may not have enough "high heels" for my taste, but that's just my selfish fetishy mind talking.

Out of curiosity, how long does it takes to paint one of those, say "Seamus - The Entrance"?

Best Regards,
Pierre.

Well, practice and patience, that's where it is. Zigzag the mouse 10,000 times and anyone can make the aforementioned zbdbjhrcx-pattern quickly and easily. :)

3d art: I've played with DAZ in the past so I know it is NOT easy to pose the characters right and create a good looking scene. When a 3d artist creates characters, it's digital sculpting and when creating scenes with finished models, it's like digital photography. They have their own challenges.

Heels: I'm trying to balance between boots, "toe contours", and bare feet. High heels emerge every now and then, but they aren't always very practical. A high-heeled halfling thief? Not happening! :D

Time: I rarely count the time. I believe it's about 10 hours if I'm painting a single character without a fancy, detailed background. The newest one took me about 30 hours, but the background was complex. Plus the cats. :D The Star Wars smugglers and Siths? Logic says: 50. Maybe even more...

Interesting. Thank you very much for your answer.

Btw, love your take on Star Wars.

And, who cares if a thief in high heels is impractical. It is good looking! (you see all the time on TV...)Wink/Razz

I can't quite put my finger on why yet, but I look at your artwork and immediately it makes me want to write.  There's a muse in there somewhere speaking.  Thank you for the lovely evocative artwork!  :D
