A Country Tale 001 by SirTancrede A Country Tale 001 by SirTancrede
There is something sad with this picture since the wonderful illustrator of children’s books who inspired me passed away last year. Rest in peace Jill Barklem.

Rendered in Daz3D with Iray. All 3D models are purchased from Daz3D, Renderosity and Turbosquid.

Beautiful render, if you don't mind, could I ask, how did you go about rendering all the objects?

I divided the picture in several parts and made a render for each one, then I gathered them together in postwork. Thank you very much for the watch:) (Smile)

Thank you again! :) When you split it into separate parts, do you make the items transparent, so that the shadows will still be there?

No I try to make groups to avoid this kind of problem. Easy on the shelves for example but more complicated on the table. Sometimes I use the same objects in several renders to make the junction between the renders.

As I said previously I had to make several renders to get this result of course. Daz is a fantastic software but I don't think it could tolerate so much props, even with a high powered pc:) (Smile) Thanks for sharing your feeling.

Just come across this wonderful image.  People have mentioned the detail, but one thing that stood out for me above all others was the flour on her hands.  Just brilliant!!  Clap Clap Clap Clap

A perfect tribute to the Jill Barklem universe! How so often I admire your endless patience and delicate sense of putting all the things together to create a world of its own.
I like it sooo much, I will download it and study for a while... One of the best things is the flour on the hands - so real looking.
Dear Sir, one time more an incredible masterpiece!!!

Thanks you so much again:) (Smile)  My only secret is the use of layered renders in post work. With imagination you can adjust so many things. For example, the flour is just a render with white arms and the use of a brush to make it appear this way. I learn so much by studying the other artists; I'm glad my work can be inspiring as well:) (Smile)

Yesss, it's so inspiring, indeed! And instructive!
Never thought about renders with separated content, I make only different light renders and combine them in PS...
Very interesting, will try it out.
With the arms, I thought you had painted on the limbs texture...

No problem at all. I made this pic my desktop background. It's very beautiful to look at & I'm really amazed at what you got DazStudio to render. Do you mind if I ask the stats on your computer? I'm curious what it will take to have such a detailed scene. ;)

Very flattered. I have a GTX 980. It only makes my renders faster. For so much details I still have to combine a lot of renders. Probably about twenty for this picture.

Whew! That's a lot, but with all the details, I just assumed it was single render on a monster machine. ;)

I don't think I've ever combined renders before. I know a lot of people do that. I'm gonna have to look into post work a bit closer.

I appreciate the info. :)
