Halloween Paper Lantern Tut.

So, every year I try to do something Halloween-y and fun to celebrate the season. This year, I had no ideas for a picture, but I got inspired when I saw an awesome tree of Halloween lanterns in a magazine.

I love to do German Scherenschnitte (paper cutting), and thought this would be the perfect combination of two very fun things. Granted, it's not as safe as an iron or tin lantern... but I have limited experience with those materials, and limited time to learn... So! Paper it is!

Anyway, this is part one of the tutorial. Part two (how to assemble all the pieces into a lantern) will come when I have enough panels. ^_^;;

In the meantime, you should all give this a try, if you have time. You don't have to be a great artist- you can download pumpkin carving designs off of the internet and use those.
If you make one, let me know and I'll feature it in my journal until December 1st! You can do another theme, too, whatever you want. I might post some Christmas ornaments I made last year towards the end of November.
