The Dragon's Roost

South of Midgeon, in the Valley of Margrew, over the Plain of Oldour and the Hills of Marnorn lies the sleepy town of Inor on the River Ithnal in the Vale of Ithe.

On the eastern edge of town, down by the river, sits the noble old tavern of Dragon's Roost [not to be confused with the Dragon's Roast over in Benmor].
Once the home of Talbun Ruhr, noblewoman and collector of ancient and rare relics, she brought home a relic of such interest that a legendary creature from far away was attracted to her home.

On a golden afternoon in the year of the Soured Water Pig a dragon of far faerie drifted over old Inor-On-Ithnal and eventually came to rest upon the stout roof of Ruhr's home. Needless to say Talbun met her end that day and the bent house sat empty, bowed, and slightly wrecked for many years.

Sohly Nargen had the grand vision to bring life back to the old manor in the form of a waterfront tavern. In the year of the Angry Bald Goose he raised the funds and purchased it from the town, many years since Ruhr's fateful encounter with the dragon from far faerie.

In homage to Talbun, Sohly called the revitalized tavern Ruhr's Golden Goblet but the town's folk always referred to it as the Dragon's Roost. So three years later, Sohly officially changed the name and the tavern sign to The Dragon's Roost [and in small letters beneath was included the phrase "and Ruhr's Golden Goblet"].

It now proudly claims to be the best tavern between Door and Dalharren, or at least that's what Sohly's granddaughter Sileas will tell you with a grin as she pours you an ale from the ancient kegs behind the bar.
