Back Stair Street

The idea behind this illustration was the concept of a nice upscale old town where all the houses look so nice in the front. But in the back, on Back Stair Street the niceties of society were exposed as cracking dilapidated facades.
The time and place are relative. It could be some fantasy village or an 1800s era town.
I colored, textured and edited it later in PS
