Revelation... by Sirielle Revelation... by Sirielle
Revelation... really?

Expetiment, both in content and technique. A really quick work for my standards - traditional media are always thousand times quicker!
And more satisfying, strange :D

Tips on better ways of shading light and middle tones in b&w ink are welcomed! I want to try it more. I used different methods of shading here and prefer the best shading in the bottom frames. It's all experiment. (Black felt-pens, no ink in da house, yet.)

This depends how close will you look. Rendering of the artificial light (lighters) on her head might be unclear, but the face alone should bring doubts.

The imagery is so cool that I really don't notice any mistakes! Sketching or quick drawing is always satisfying and inspiring in itself!
Well done! :)

Thank you! Indeed I need to change that description, it's been a while since I drew it and I like it even more now :)

Karolina, this is beautiful pen work; and as `sphilr said, "Nicely sequenced."

Thank you! :) I wish it was animation, I could show more frames, but I'm glad it is readable in this shortened form, too.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it :) There will be more, I really like this technique! :D And I'm amazed how quick and satisfying it is. Really if that was digital I would be polishing details all over again and moving things etc. Now I see many mistakes and want to redo it, so my nitpicking nature still plays it's role ;) but given the media I'll do it anew from scratch.

First I need to practice shading to show light better, maybe digitally so I would participate in quick pix at PixelBrush, too. I always want to do it, but never manage in time recently. Anyway I plan to draw more pieces with ball-point pen :)

Będę to rysować raz jeszcze.

This is really, REALLY cool. I think you did a great job with everything.

If you want to continue working with ink, you should get pens with different size tips (0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm and so on, plus some that are good just for filling up solid areas of black). I won't offer any advice on your technique, though, as I think it's very good. :)

I'm glad you like it :) Thank you for advice, I'll buy such pens - it'll be much easier having various pen tips sizes. I thought I would have to buy a traditional ink pen with a metal nib, that would be tricky and challenging, too, but maybe with time. To do some precise work the ball-point pens will be better :)
