Amazing work. Oh, and such a handsome elf! Not too feminine like so many pictures of male elves.

Glad you think he is, that was my goal. Thank you! :thanks:

Some people might say he could be more masculine, but then ... he's an elf after all! And he's less androgynous than so many other characters roaming this area. I'd wish I could draw like you. Sometimes I even feel like sharing my noobish tries. Just because. ;-)

Don't ever take me for serious as I hate manga style but I still love large eyes! ;-)

More manly, like here? [link] ;) (Though I avoid calling Tolkien's Eldar "elves" as they are different beings.) There masculinity is over-stressed for fun, as Tolkien's Eldar should be beautiful but manly in my opinion, yet what is manly means something different to all of us :) I haven't found a golden ratio, yet, but will keep trying.

I used to despise manga in the past when I had no idea what manga actually is :blushed: Now I really enjoy some styles, love colours in manga and anime. For example I love works of Ayami Kojima, especially eyes and fair complexion of faces she paints

If you enjoy drawing and want to draw better keep on doing it, we all get better with practice  I need to practice more, too, haven't done anything in last weeks.

Incredible work. Looks a bit like the actor Jason Isaacs, actually, was my first thought. The abstract-ish background complements it well.

Indeed there is some resemblance, though not that strong, especially foreheads do not match. Good to know the name behind the HP movie personality :)

This is never finished image, the face looked different in the beginning ("Wild Elf 2007" in my gallery) and in the final version will be more pointy again [link] (bottom posts). But I'll leave this variant in peace, no worries :)

Wow. Just wow. This is truly astounding Karolina. The texture of that hair! The little braid! The slight shimmer of the skin! All combined with that delicate misty background. You have outdone yourself and should be extremely proud. Please tell me you will be making this a print? It deserves nothing less. :+favlove:

Thank you! :thanks: I could put it into prints, the first colour version even has been submitted, but I still plan to take care of some of the things folks at CGtalk pointed out (linked in description).

I think this could be an outstanding work, it is very good allready. I don't think the colors in the piece complement eachother, it gives a sense of two pictures instead of a unity, but it could be just me.

No, not you - it's exactly what it is. I had warm colour scheme, but lost it during repainting the guy and using levels correction later. This is one of things I want to bring back,as well as add a bit more story here :)
