I just finished reading Merman and the Surfer this morning. Excellent work! I really loved how I was transported into worlds I knew nothing about. that is why I read, and y'all did an excellent job. the detail you used in the fishing boats was great, but what you did in the musical phase of her life was stupendous. I found myself singing in my mind and at work, Son of a Son of a Sailor and several other Jimmy Buffet and Linda Ronstadt songs. The details of her transformation really made it more real. A great SF or Fantasy novel has to make you believe in the world system, it's magic or technology. You did. She does get a lot of lucky breaks, but that's just plot armor. I really felt Pappous' death and didn't mourn, he had lived a long fulfilling life. Everything tied together well. I hope you can can sell your work. It deserves to sell well!
Hmmm, I see you write as well. I just wrote a chat to you as an artist for my novel. Would you like to trade novels and comment on them? Piers Anthony and R.A. Salvatore have both written nice reviews of Into the Lair. I'm on my second novel now
