Not the best news

So I got my notice of termination today. Yay. First day after hospital and sickleave that was a not so nice welcome. A good birthday gift, isn't it? I will turn 55 in two weeks and my chance of getting a new job are not the best. Sarcasm off. Yeah. It seems I did not fulfil the expectations. Of whom I wonder. I got three versions of the 'why'. Each separate of the others. One from my accountant collegue, one from the collegue I am supposed to support (and why I was hired in the first place) and one from my boss. You know what? I don't get people. I just don't understand them. You look them in the face and behind lies a bottomless pit. Forgive me, when I am not going into detail. Let's say I have the dull feeling I am not 'functioning' in the way my accountant collegue would like me to and my guess is, he influenced the boss because he wants (maybe needs) help in his department. Whereas I said right from the bat, in the first job interview, that I am no good with numbers, that I have
