Nymphaea Kanzashi

Named after the elusive and beautiful nymphs of Greek myth, the water lily (suiren in Japanese) is a cherished flower all over the world for its delicate purity. This tsumami kanzashi features a single large bloom and three short shidare falls in a white and pink gradient. A glittering pink gem adorns the center, and a light green lily pad peeks out from behind the flower. Mounted on a large alligator clip for easy wear, 'Nymphaea' measures approximately 3.25" x 6".

This is such a lovely piece. While the piece itself tells a coherent story, the description you provided really brings it all together. You were able to replicate the beauty of a water lily perfectly while providing a mystical aura as well to match the myth and mystery of nymphs.

The colors were what I liked the most. The green is so soft but still a bold enough shade to allow it to be the anchor for the other colors. The pinks and white are great complements. Each petal and leaf is so detailed and perfect--as smooth as if it were a real lily plucked from a lake.

You definitely have an eye (and hand) for small intricate details. I'm really glad you shared this with #Poetry-In-Nature. It shows just how varied beautiful art can be. Too many people think of photography when it comes to art, but I like the way this is more than an accessory--it's an artful work that tells a story.

Great work! Whoever bought this kanzashi is very lucky.
