The weather in Lelin’Kel had finally dropped to a nice, chilly temperature, as every kel’s favorite autumn season had finally appeared after a harsh summer. The autumn leaves had started to fall, blanketing the drying grass with their crunchiness, as Emilia led a small group of younger kelings under her care toward one of Pockit’s vast pumpkin fields. Said children were all but ready to help the much older kel harvest the various shapes and sizes of pumpkins. Well, all but one.
Regulus trailed behind the other kelings, further than Emilia would have liked. He was nervous without his friends or either of his older sisters, but Miss Emilia had assured him that the trip to the fields would be fun and exciting.
“Now, children. Remember, we’re here to help Pockit here harvest some of his pumpkins for the festival. All that we collect today will go towards all of the yummy baked goods, jack-o-lanterns, and the potluck, so make sure you find only ripe pumpkins; nothing that’s not ready
