Probably the last Illustrator-made picture you will see from me. InDesign is up next in class, and I'm happy. Illustrator started to get boring, even though I think this piece proved to be a nice conclusion to that part of class.

The shadows on the transparent part below where the background ends were added in with Photoshop during the cropping process... Everything else is 100% Illustrator. I simply figured it would look kind of nice having the parts of the picture in it that I originally wanted to be cropped but that Illustrator decided to save as well.

Hope you like it. :)

This is really stylish, I think. The lineart that is in the picture, it does kinda make it stand out. What would be better is if you shaded where the lineart is so that way, it's just a colored shape as opposed to lienart. This way, it'll still have the folds and the parts that you want to feature, but will not conflict with the rest of the image.

Yeah, I agree... Maybe I'll end up changing it the next time I'm at school.

Thanks for the comment and fav.

PS: dont get excited about indesign, that's purely used for layouts

I know, it's still somewhat exciting to me because my mother publishes a newsletter monthly and I could see myself being able to help her make everything look more nice with the help of InDesign...
Plus like I said, I'm already getting a bit bored of Illustrator. Our teacher hardly ever gives us assignments or shows/explains us anything. He usually just let's us do whatever the hell we want and only assumes his teacherly position when we ask him about something.

well my friend, that's what school is all about. You get a taster, but if you want to getr good at stuff it's all about what u do with it and how u develop it in your own time.

illustrator is delicious! For some reason I really always feel that illustration work best without lineart in that program. The choice of colors is really good, like those soft tones. Weakest parts being the horns, the inner lineart doesn't backup the 3d shape of the horn in my oppinion.

Yeah, I guess I should've probably made those furrows stand out through shading them instead of putting the lineart there.

Thanks for the comment!

I think I'd like this alot more if it wasn't made in illustrator with ugly gray lineart. Stupid illustrator otherwise I like it.

gray lineart? there is really only little lineart on the whole picture and the lineart that IS there is brown... Okay, a greyish-brown on the horns, I'll admit, but still

ok either your monitor or your eyes are broken or it's simply an optical illusion due to the line being brighter than the shading of the horns

your mother is an optical illusion due to the line being brighter than the shading of the horns.
