A few months ago, my first artistic love came out of its festering uber-sithy cave and clobbered me on the noggin, so now I have to pay it some attention or else go totally nuts. Consequently, I can't seem to stop drawing pictures of Anakin and Padmé and scribbling two fan-fics on the subject at the same time. Also I have fallen in love with Cade from Star Wars: Legacy, who makes Anakin Skywalker look like a freekin cub-scout. More on that, but not here. It wasn't exactly what I as trying to accomplish when I started my latest drawing binge, but I guess we take what is given, right?
This Star Wars thing has been going on for a very
About a week ago, my wonderful Mac iBook died a gruesome and horrible death. I will not go into a details - but the guy at the Mac store said that the damage was so severe, that it wasn't going to make it. So i bid fare thee well to my old Mac, and used my income tax return money to get a new one. Happily, the old Mac's hard-drive was the only thing to survive the debacle, and I was able to transfer all my precious files to a brand new MacBook Pro. (I back up my Mac once per week anyway...)
Requiem in pace, my faithful old Mac. You are gone, but your data lives on... :rose:
The mourning period was rather short because I am very happy
First, I would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL of you who read this journal and enjoy my art. Your responses have been amazing and have helped me through a lot of very hard places. You are all wonderful, thoughtful people.
Second, my birthday was very nice. Dave made homemade ravioli and i got a Boston Creme Cake. I got some lavender bath gel, some chocolates, and best of all, a live miniature potted rose!!! It has beautiful deep red flowers and a light scent. My awesome niece picked it out.
She is such a great kid! :cake:
And lastly, the horrible PEG tube is gone forever! Yay! The doctor looked at it
I leave the first pages of the comic I started, inspired by your storytelling and comics that you gifted us while you were part of this world. I posted this comic a week after I heard the news that you were gone, though I'd been working feverishly on it for weeks beforehand, hoping that I could show you and see what you thought of it. It saddens me that you'll never see it, but it gladdens me that it could help keep your memory alive and, in turn, inspire others to make their own stories through art. God rest your soul, Simbamarasa, Firelemming. Peace to your memory and your loved ones.
