AHIT: Kit, Keeper of the Paintings Ref Sheet

An OC that I’m working on for a AHIT fanfic.  While writing a few short stories surrounding the fire spirits, I got to thinking about the cursed paintings around Subcon and where they came from.  This adorable nut was the result.

Long story short, she used to be an artist that travelled around to see the world and make ends meet, got herself abducted by the fire spirits, and now pretty much has Stockholm Syndrome.  She used to be human, but spending years in the fire spirits’ domain on top of the fact that they don’t want her to leave in any way, shape, or form resulted in her body becoming infused with some of their magic. This allowed her to gain some of their powers and halted her aging, but physically altered/scarred her too.  (The markings you see are from where that magic overwhelmed her. They have a dim glow normally, but if they ever were to “go out,” they’d leave burn scars in their place.)  She’d do just about anything to leave, but she also feels a strong sense of responsibility toward the fire spirits.

For the fic that I’m plotting involving her, she’d be the primary antagonist for Hat Kid.  She’s not gonna care about the Time Pieces. (Her reaction to finding one is literally “Ooo! Shiny thing!”, although, if she actually cared to learn what they did it might be a different story.)  However, she would try to keep Hat Kid from leaving the fire spirits’ domain.
