Well this is a bit late coming lol! I kept meaning to post a new year journal but I never got round to it so I'm doing so quickly now! I actually had a better new year than I thought, I spent it with one of my best friends and we saw the new year in together and it was a great start to the year.
I've since had five commissions and been making plans for future things I want to do this year as well. Things are looking up, which makes a change from last year's nightmare. I'm off to London twice in the coming months, one of which is a sort of pilgrimage I feel I need to do by myself. Never been to London by myself before and actually stayed there, only to get to the airport, so this will be interesting. I know the city well though and can find my way around so it will be fun. I've already planned my route!
I'm getting a car in March and getting back into driving again. I don't want to have to rely on other people and I need to be mobile. No one wants someone around who leeches off them. I've been listening to a band who has helped me immensely with their upbeat music and I figured that life is for living so live it and enjoy it. I've also started sorta collecting old vinyl records (thanks to a friend who gave me one and sparked it off) and remember how awesome they are. I used to listen to my parents' vinyls all the time as a kid. Vinyl is neat in that you have to care for it. Not like CDs where you just put it in and play it. You need to keep dust off vinyl and clean it and the sound quality is still superior to CDs and MP3s.
In art news, I've been drawing a fair bit but I normally post it on Instagram first. I'm so happy to have been getting commissions again as well, since I hadn't gotten any for so long. You can see them on my Twitter, SilvolfStudios.
That's all for now, I need to go get coffee
