Comments can no longer be edited after a certain amount of time, so we ask that you post ONE strudel per comment, so that you can hide the comments after it has been traded off. Posting multiple in the same comment causes confusion if you cannot hide just one strudel in particular. I'd very much like to know what kind of artwork you enjoy seeing most from me! It would be really helpful if you could tell me what your fave piece/pieces in my gallery are and why! Please take some time to give me some feedback, since I am curious about what style/medium/subject people enjoy most in my work. I know DA isn't what it used to be and there are less comments and such on all our artwork but I feel this little request might help in the absense of other feedback.
Thank you.

My favorite is Toxic Fire. I love the details and colors. The yellow coming from the eyes is an awesome detail.

I like your traditional work the most. Especially when it's animals and creatures. The coloring, shading, and designs are amazing. You have a very creative and colorfull mind. All of your art is beautiful though. You have improved a ton since I met you.

Thank you so much! I love traditional the best, I always will because it is what I started out with and I find it the easiest. I'm trying to convert some of my traditional skills into my digital technique. Drawing fantasy is my other favourite thing! I'm very glad I have improved so much too, it's always nice to know when your art grows and improves.

I really like your animal/creature art the best, whether it's a character from someone else or your own characters and whether it's pics of real animals or fantasy animals of your own creation, i love them all. I like your traditional work the clearly shows a lot of work was put into it with a lot of shading and more detailed stuff in the backgrounds. I hope this is helpful. :)

Thank you very much for your feedback! I'm seeing a lot of people like my traditional art best and that makes me happy because it's the art I enjoy creating the most. Also the fantasy aspect of it too, I love drawing fantasy creatures and art. I'm also really glad that my backgrounds are looking good. I've always sruggled with them but lately I've been making more of an effort with backgrounds.

you're welcome :) while your digital art as improved a lot over the years too, i still like your traditional art best. yeah, i can relate to backgrounds, back i used to draw traditionally backgrounds would always become a nightmare for me, especially when i drew stuff in colored pencil.  but glad you were able to get past the struggle and create some decent backgrounds. :)

I think the worst part with backgrounds is using up ALL your coloured pencils on them lol! They take a lot of colour, which is why I do minimal or even linework backgrounds (I did a pic of my friend and did the background in coloured fine liners instead of coloured pencils, keeping it to linework with some detail) because it helps save the colours lol! My digital ones are getting better too, I have the hang of drawing them out traditionally and just making them digital. SAI is a big help to me.

yep, so very true, more detailed backgrounds require using a lot more colors and if you mess up the color even a little bit your kind of screwed, reason why i tend to be minimalist with my backgrounds too. yeah, glad that you found a digital painting program that works best for you to improve your art.

Exactly. Digital is more forgiving in that way than traditional. Also I cheat a little and darken/lighten the whole thing which means I can colour normally and then put the lighting in after, which you can't do with traditional.

yeah, so true, which is the reason i do my art mostly all digital, it's just so much easier for me, if i mess something up i can just undo it and easily change the lighting to lighter or darker if i want too, but i still admire those that can do traditional art well.

Indeed, digital is more forgiving. I'm getting better with light and shade in traditional though.

Argh and I got distracted and posted too soon, intead of editing the original comment, I will just add a second.

-Indigo- by Silvolf I love the colouring and detailing on this one, it's beautiful, I also like that the background does not cover the whole picture, but instead creatively put into shapes.

-Nighttime Ramblings- by Silvolf The colouring of this one always gets me to stop and look it for a lobg while, it's wonderfully done, and I love how they just seem to be snarling in mutal agreement!

-Trade - Senshee and her Hot Rod- by Silvolf This one because I like how you pulled off a desert without over saturating the colours like I do XD It looks awesome and I love the plants you added and the perspective is good too.

-Room For Two- by Silvolf And this one for your digital artwork because it's showing how much your are improving with each one you do, the lighting is good and the compostion is nicely balanced as well!

So good job with all!

Indigo: I like saving some of my colours which is why I make the shapes for the background sometimes (annoyingly I forgot to give the original to my friend when she visited!)
Nighttime Ramblings: I love doing scenes with tree shapes like this in them and was very proud of this when I drew it. Also I was super happy with the posing too.
Senshee trade: I used a variety of reference photos for this one, I think it's important to reference from photos; it's how we grow and learn. I'm glad you like how the colours turned out.
Room for Two: I cheated on this with the shadow lol! But I'm glad you feel it works. I did the blind wonky because it looks more real to do that instead of making clean lines. I'm so glad you have noticed the improvement in my digital work, I am trying very hard now to better myself and make better quality art!
Thanks so much for your feedback!

It was a very tough choice to make.

-Russian Elegance- by Silvolf This is my favourite in your whole gallery, it is very beautiful and elegant. It would be a lovely tapestry, but it must be a massive one that covers the wall! The details in the fur looks amazing :aww:

-Violet Neons- by Silvolf I still love the colours on this one, I remember seeing it back then, and this one always sticks in my mind. I love these colours together, I also love the anatomy on this one, even now.

-Meck- by Silvolf I love the composition on this one, this will always be a firm favourite for me.

Russian Elegance: It's a piece I'm very proud of and I actually have the original framed! The original is very large as well. You're right about the tapestry idea, it would look great in an elegant house.
Violet Neons: It was so random, the colours and the pose and was a practise piece but I've always liked how it turned out. I used odd colour combinations and layers of colours on it so it looks pearlescent.
Meck: This was a turning point in my work. When I uploaded this, some people thought it wasn't actually my art! I felt I had really levelled up as an artist. It will always be special to me.
