Mark of the Great and Powerful
For sale here: etsy.me/2JvlNKJ
If this pendant is currently unavailable in my shop, just check back after my shop updates Saturday at 8:30pm Central

A cutie mark that's been long desired by pony fans.  I've been getting requests for this design as far back as I can remember.  Better late than never.

This Pendant is handcrafted from sterling silver and nickel silver sheet and sterling silver wire. It measures approximately 2 ½ inches in width and height. The edges of the pendant are beveled for a clean, finished look. It's finished with my signature semi-polish sandblast finish on the cloak and wand handle, with a flat sandblast finish on the back of the wand, and a brushed finish on the wand star. As a final step, to help prevent tarnishing, the front of the pendant is sprayed with a strong lacquer.

NOTICE: before making your purchase, please make sure you understand the difference between sterling silver and nickel silver.

Sterling silver is a precious metal that is 92.5% pure silver, and 7.5% copper.

Nickel silver is a base metal that is 60% copper, %20 nickel, and 20% zinc.

The pendant hangs on a 24" stainless steel curb chain the pic shown. This chain is included in the price. Or, you can choose a 20" black cable cord.

Hey fellow artists!  Have you ever considered diversifying your market?  Maybe put a few pendants and other high-end metal accessories in your shop or on your vending table?  Well, with my help now you can!

Turn art into jewelry by SilverSlinger

If you can supply me with some simple black and white line art like the art shown above, I can put it on so many things made of metal: Pendants, earrings, buttons / pins, medals, money clips, pocket watches, the list goes on!  All you have to do is contact me in a note, e-mail (silverslinger25@yahoo.com) or on other social medias like my twitter: twitter.com/Silver_Slinger, and we're in business!

This journal is going to be pretty straight forward at first, since I'm new to the wholesaling thing, but overtime I'll be modifying it and adding more information as I learn.  Please take the time to read my wholesale rules and FAQ

Wholesaling rules:

-- Handcrafted jewelry is not available at a wholesale price!
-- No NSFW art!
-- Bulk orders only at wholesale prices!
-- Some art cannot be properly engraved onto jewelry. I will tell you up front if the art you show me can be engraved or not, and what changes need to be made.
-- I am not liable if your jewelry does not sale. It is up to you to decide if the art you want on your jewelry will sell or not.
-- Startup costs may be applied and will vary from job to job depending on the complexity of the art used, and if I have to modify your art to make it work.
-- Startup costs are a one time fee per project and will not be applied when you reorder merchandise.
-- Wholesaling prices may be subject to change, but only if absolutely necessary.
-- I have the right to deny any job if I have to (Though I don't want to, so hopefully that doesn't have to happen ^^;)
-- Rules are subject to change, and may be added as I see fit.

FAQ

Q: How much for wholesale?
A: That's a questions that's impossible to answer out right. Wholesale prices will vary depending on what it is you're having me engrave your art onto (A pocket watch will cost more than a dog tag).  There may also be setup fees that you will have to pay during the first order depending on the complexity of your art, and if I have to make any modifications to the art to make it engraveable.

Costs will also vary depending on how big your order is. If you're ordering 10 pendants, there will be startup costs and a price per pendant. If you're ordering 100 pendants, startup costs may be waved and the price per pendant could be lower than if you were just ordering 10.  Prices will have to be discussed on a job-by-job basis.

Q: If you're offering wholesale why am I paying full price for your merchandise or commissions?
A: Wholesale is only available in bulk quantities, usually 10 pieces or more. Those 10 pieces at a wholesale price will cost you more than one pendant at retail price.

Q: I'm not interested in selling but I want to order wholesale. Can I?
A: Sure! If you want to order a particular piece of art on multiple pendants to maybe give as gifts or something, then by all means order at wholesale and save some money!

Q: Can you wholesale a handmade piece for me?
A: As it says in my rules, handcrafted merchandise is not available at wholesale prices.

Q: If I engrave my art onto jewelry, do you think it will sell?
A: That decision is entirely yours to make. I'm not going to tell you if I think it will sell or not because I have no clue. Yes I want your business, and yes I hope if you buy jewelry to resell that it does indeed sell and you order more from me!  But I don't know the outcome, and if I do tell you that your merchandise will sell and it doesn't, I could be held liable.

Q: Can I supply the merchandise for you to engrave?
A: Okay, this is an important question, and I highly recommend you read my answer. You can If you want to. But there are some drawbacks to that option. It may save you a bit of money, but I will not compensate you for any merchandise that shows up damaged or flawed. If a piece you supply ends up damaged during the engraving process (seldom happens, but still happens) I won't compensate for that either.  If I supply the merchandise to be engraved I will inspect every piece & make sure it's in great condition, and I can easily replace any merchandise that's damaged or flawed.

Also, there are many things I can't engrave for various reasons. It might be the material they're made of, an uneven surface, bad quality plating or lacquering...The list goes on! I know what my machine is capable of, so I would highly recommend you leave the merchandising to me.

Q: My jewelry didn't sell. Can I return it?
A: All wholesale orders are final! If the jewelry doesn't sell try adjusting the prices, or doing promotions to increase sales like "Buy a pendant, and get a matching print for free!"  Get creative!

Q: Can I pay for the merchandise as I sell it?
A: Wholesale orders must be paid in full before I mail you the merchandise.

Q: I don't like something about the merchandise you engraved. Can I change it?
A: Another very important question. You will be shown renderings of the art before I engrave it.  Upon request I can also show you the art engraved onto metal before I put it onto your merchandise. These will be the moments to request your changes! After you give me approval, I will complete your order and changes cannot be made until the next time you reorder that particular product. Small changes can more than likely be made without charging additional fees.

Q: Will you package up my merchandise in pretty boxes or satchels for me like you do with shop orders and commissions?
A: Wholesale is the lowest possible price I can offer. Each piece will be individually packaged in plastic bags to keep them from scratching and damaging each other, but fancy packaging will cost extra.

Q: Can I right my order off on my taxes?
A: If you're reselling the merchandise you're buying from me at wholesale, then absolutely! I will send you an invoice through PayPal that you can print for your records.  If you're buying wholesale for yourself, as gifts, or to donate to charity I will still supply you with an invoice, but you will have to discuss with an accountant on whether or not it qualifies as a write-off.

Q: Will you sell my jewelry for me?
A: Let's not complicate things.

Feel free to ask me any other questions you may have! I'm always happy to help!

Payment

I accept PayPal to pay for commissions. I'll also take money orders, and run credit cards! At least half of the commission must be paid for before I'll start on your order!

Incredible Pin
This Pin is one of a kind for my 5,000 follower giveaway celebration!
To enter for your chance to win this, just give me a follow on twitter: twitter.com/Silver_Slinger
and retweet the post regarding this pin: twitter.com/Silver_Slinger/sta…

The giveaway will be held Saturday, June 30th at 8:30pm Central Time!

So here's something you won't see very often from me. A piece from something owned by Disney.  I've already had my butt chewed off by a Disney copyright lawyer once for just hinting at making a Disney themed pendant to sell, which was enough to discourage that from happening.  But I figured they'd let me make this if I'm giving it away. No money made off it at all.

So why the Incredibles logo for this 5k give away? Well, 14 years ago, shortly after seeing the first Incredibles movie, I actually handmade a pin of their logo. I was 16 back then, and it was technically my first ever fan-made piece of jewelry ever.  Unfortunately it's since been lost, and I have no recollection of what happened to it =(  But with "The Incredibles 2" now in theatres, and me hitting a milestone of 5,000 followers on twitter, something I never thought possible, the symbolism of it all just seemed to good to pass up!

So, onto the specs of this piece.  This pin is handcrafted out of sterling silver, copper, brass and nickel silver.  It measures approximately 1.5 inches in width by 1 inch in height. It has my signature sandblast finish, dropped in a tumbler for a semi-polish 'moon glow' on the front. A finish that also helps to hide smudges and minor scratches.  The background was painted black with antiquing, and the entire front of the pin was given 3 coats of lacquer to help prevent tarnishing. On the back are 1/3 inch straight pins each with a high profile nickel plated clutch.

My obsession with timepieces has inspired me to go in a new direction with my pocket watches!  And here's the first of hopefully many new mechanical style watches I have in the works!  These beautiful watches have a midnight black finish on them with metallic dark blue numerals and hands.  The plate is made from nickel silver and has art of princess Luna engraved on both sides (The reverse side can be seen on the inside of the watch lid).

The watch itself is wind-up mechanical, never needing a battery, and has a transparent face on the front, and window on the back, so you can see the beautiful workings!  This style of pocket watch is my personal favorite.  The watch comes with a FOB chain, as most pocket watches do.

Hopefully the first of many new and unique watch designs!  Be sure to follow my twitter to get first dibs on these when they go up for sale!

I Now Ship Worldwide!

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 17, 2018, 10:34 AM

Hello everyone! So for a while now, shipping in my Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/SilverSlinge…) has been limited to select countries.  Well unfortunately due to an increase in transaction fees on Etsy's part, which INCLUDES the shipping costs, shipping to select countries through Etsy has to remain that way.

However, I've decided that if you're willing to put your trust in me, cutting out the Etsy middleman and dealing with me directly, I'm willing to ship my metalwork to anyone in the world! This includes all the premade goods you see in my shop:
www.etsy.com/shop/SilverSlinge… as well as commissions and custom work.

Oversea Shipping Guidelines:

-- Buyer must have a PayPal account with an up-to-date and verified shipping address.

-- Shipping fees can vary in price from $14 USD up to $40 USD depending on destination and method of shipping chosen.

-- Buyer is responsible for any additional handling or custom fees their post office may require.

-- Please contact me directly for any sale or commission.

-- Depending on the shipping method chosen, and distance to destination, shipping can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks.

-- Signature confirmation of the package may be required upon arrival.

-- I assume all rights to deny any sale....But probably won't unless I really have to.

-- Before completing a transaction, you may be asked to accept the terms and guidelines listed above.

Also, if you live in the United States, and would like to deal with me directly for any sales, I'm 100% okay with that.  Cutting out the Etsy middleman means no transaction fees from them, and more savings for me and you!

If you have any questions or concerns, you're welcome to ask me! Looking forward to doing business with the world again! :D
