This journal is going to be pretty straight forward at first, since I'm new to the wholesaling thing, but overtime I'll be modifying it and adding more information as I learn. Please take the time to read my wholesale rules and FAQWholesaling rules:
-- Handcrafted jewelry is not available at a wholesale price!
-- No NSFW art!
-- Bulk orders only at wholesale prices!
-- Some art cannot be properly engraved onto jewelry. I will tell you up front if the art you show me can be engraved or not, and what changes need to be made.
-- I am not liable if your jewelry does not sale. It is up to you to decide if the art you want on your jewelry will sell or not.
-- Startup costs may be applied and will vary from job to job depending on the complexity of the art used, and if I have to modify your art to make it work.
-- Startup costs are a one time fee per project and will not be applied when you reorder merchandise.
-- Wholesaling prices may be subject to change, but only if absolutely necessary.
-- I have the right to deny any job if I have to (Though I don't want to, so hopefully that doesn't have to happen
-- Rules are subject to change, and may be added as I see fit.FAQ
Q: How much for wholesale?
A: That's a questions that's impossible to answer out right. Wholesale prices will vary depending on what it is you're having me engrave your art onto (A pocket watch will cost more than a dog tag). There may also be setup fees that you will have to pay during the first order depending on the complexity of your art, and if I have to make any modifications to the art to make it engraveable.
Costs will also vary depending on how big your order is. If you're ordering 10 pendants, there will be startup costs and a price per pendant. If you're ordering 100 pendants, startup costs may be waved and the price per pendant could be lower than if you were just ordering 10. Prices will have to be discussed on a job-by-job basis. Q: If you're offering wholesale why am I paying full price for your merchandise or commissions?
A: Wholesale is only available in bulk quantities, usually 10 pieces or more. Those 10 pieces at a wholesale price will cost you more than one pendant at retail price.Q: I'm not interested in selling but I want to order wholesale. Can I?
A: Sure! If you want to order a particular piece of art on multiple pendants to maybe give as gifts or something, then by all means order at wholesale and save some money!Q: Can you wholesale a handmade piece for me?
A: As it says in my rules, handcrafted merchandise is not available at wholesale prices. Q: If I engrave my art onto jewelry, do you think it will sell?
A: That decision is entirely yours to make. I'm not going to tell you if I think it will sell or not because I have no clue. Yes I want your business, and yes I hope if you buy jewelry to resell that it does indeed sell and you order more from me! But I don't know the outcome, and if I do tell you that your merchandise will sell and it doesn't, I could be held liable.Q: Can I supply the merchandise for you to engrave?
A: Okay, this is an important question, and I highly recommend you read my answer. You can If you want to. But there are some drawbacks to that option. It may save you a bit of money, but I will not compensate you for any merchandise that shows up damaged or flawed. If a piece you supply ends up damaged during the engraving process (seldom happens, but still happens) I won't compensate for that either. If I supply the merchandise to be engraved I will inspect every piece & make sure it's in great condition, and I can easily replace any merchandise that's damaged or flawed.
Also, there are many things I can't engrave for various reasons. It might be the material they're made of, an uneven surface, bad quality plating or lacquering...The list goes on! I know what my machine is capable of, so I would highly recommend you leave the merchandising to me.Q: My jewelry didn't sell. Can I return it?
A: All wholesale orders are final! If the jewelry doesn't sell try adjusting the prices, or doing promotions to increase sales like "Buy a pendant, and get a matching print for free!" Get creative!Q: Can I pay for the merchandise as I sell it?
A: Wholesale orders must be paid in full before I mail you the merchandise.Q: I don't like something about the merchandise you engraved. Can I change it?
A: Another very important question. You will be shown renderings of the art before I engrave it. Upon request I can also show you the art engraved onto metal before I put it onto your merchandise. These will be the moments to request your changes!
After you give me approval, I will complete your order and changes cannot be made until the next time you reorder that particular product. Small changes can more than likely be made without charging additional fees.Q: Will you package up my merchandise in pretty boxes or satchels for me like you do with shop orders and commissions?
A: Wholesale is the lowest possible price I can offer. Each piece will be individually packaged in plastic bags to keep them from scratching and damaging each other, but fancy packaging will cost extra.Q: Can I right my order off on my taxes?
A: If you're reselling the merchandise you're buying from me at wholesale, then absolutely! I will send you an invoice through PayPal that you can print for your records. If you're buying wholesale for yourself, as gifts, or to donate to charity I will still supply you with an invoice, but you will have to discuss with an accountant on whether or not it qualifies as a write-off.Q: Will you sell my jewelry for me?
A: Let's not complicate things.Feel free to ask me any other questions you may have! I'm always happy to help!
I accept PayPal to pay for commissions. I'll also take money orders, and run credit cards! At least half of the commission must be paid for before I'll start on your order!
