Story:
Since this mask first started to take shape, I've had mixed feelings about it. In one aspect I was happy that I was able to create something that struck such a cord in me. However I disliked, almost hated it, because it's not a feeling/emotion I like to think about. Thinking back I find it humorous that I would advert my eyes from my work bench when ever I walked by. The face I had created, even before it was painted, kinda disturbed me.
Over the course of 2 weeks, thankfully, the mask began to grow on me and I finally finished it and gave it a fitting frame. Though at one point I contemplated destroying it, in the end I'm glad I didn't. Art that brings out emotion, even if its disliked emotion, should still be cherished for showing its observers that they are human.
