About 7 years ago, I stopped work on my webcomic due to personal reasons.

The next six months(starting July 2015) I plan to work as much as I can on a revitalization process. I have one issue outlined.

I have six months to devote fully to this project. By the end of those six months, I would like to have turned this into my full-time job. If I haven’t by then… well, I’ll have to stop and look for work. I've started a Patreon campaign for in hope to make that possible.

My original series was called Ravenwood. This series will be called The Unnamed: A Ravenwood Comic.

Why the name change, I hear you screech in panic. Well quite simply, things have changed in the world they live in. Marcus has been missing for five years, most assume he’s dead. His heirs, Duncan and William, are also missing though it’s assumed they’ve merely left the country. The family’s land will be up for grabs at the end of the year. Any unnamed heir, related by blood, can argue their rights to the land before the King.

The Conahans are positioning to argue their claim, however tenuous, and remove any opposition. They intend to finish what they started at the beginning of Ravenwood.

So what’s the big deal with this plot of land? I guess, you’ll have to hang around to find out.

Things have been a bit out of sorts for me, the last two months have been a little... crazy. Long winded explainion found here: silver-b.livejournal.com/28864…

Slight hiatus for RAVENWOOD as I recover from these past two months of injury and sickness and crap. I'm still working on it and am healthy now, I just need time to develop a new backlog.

I'll be at The Gathering of the Gargoyles Convention in Pigeon Forge, TN --22nd-25th, though I'll be getting there on the 21st. Getting my art around for the art show there... got a few pieces that need printing.

Regural operations to resume the 29th

Now for updates on me, things have been hectic. Wrist still giving me trouble, but dealing.  Jordan's dad has cancer in his liver, more surgery. I'm a bit drained...

Got a FurAffinity account, which is where I hide my 'adult' art among other things.

I tired. I go lay down now.

I've sprained my right wrist, my drawing side. Ow. I've only been able to work without much pain for about 20 minutes at a time. It's getting very frustating. and painful.

Yeah, I'm doing that feature thing... First ten to comment will be featured for this month. If I don't get ten comments, I'll just start picking people on my watch list :P I will pick two of my favorite pieces from each gallery. Depending on how this goes over, I'll do it again next month.

Still room to be featured! Cut off date is March 4th, noon EST. Then I'll pick people from my watch list.

a wee bit of musing from me

It has been my task, to fill the stockings each year. It's been like this since I was 13, I think. I was thinking as I was doing this, with my own particural system of distrubation... of something me and my mother had talked about recently. An interesting concept of fairness.
What is fairness?
What me and my mother spoke of was how she had told some of the interns where she works to decorate the office for Christmas. She gave them some garland, and ornimates. She said the hung the ornimates around and did an okay job, but did not hang the garland. Why? The answer is quite simple, they said there wasn't enough to go all the way around each cubical so they didn't put it up at all.
My response after hearing this was: So, cut the garland, give a little bit to each, or cut it and hang vertical strips from the celing throughout the office.
I don't mean to insult the inteligence of these interns for not being that good at thinking outside of the box, or in this case, cubical. But I find their actions worth the ponder. As I spoke to my mom about this we realised something, my generation, the gen x'ers and young have a different concept of fairness.... fairness and sharing as perfectly equal portions of everything, if that can't be obtained no one gets it (as always, this doesn't apply to everyone in this age group, but a signifigant majority).
But why... my mother points out that type of fairness never really dawned on her. I remember saying, "Well, you where one of six kids and most of us are one of 2.5...we never had to share like you did." she added, "We where poor, there wasn't always enough to go around." I responded, "It was give and take."
She laughed and said "Yes, give or it will be taken away."
What I'm getting at may yet be hard to see though. The idea of fairness through trade. Instead of we all get equal portions, we give up some to get something we had none or little of before. Example: my room my have less square footage than my sister's but I have two windows and she has one but a larger room. That is still fair, still equal... equal through give and take.

That brings me back to stockings... my mother is allgeric to soy and nuts, which is in most chocolate and candy. My brother doesn't like anything mint flavored. So as a result, my mother gets things in her stockings I do not put in any of the others, but because she can't have the chocolate or the nuts it's still fair(she also gets things none of us likes but she does but that goes for all of us). Likewise, I keep the mint stuff out of my brother's stocking but give him a more of something else that he does like. Something else intresting I've noticed though... and I've been doing this for ages... whenever I am asked to devide anything,(cake, pie, etc..) I more often than not give myself what I think the smallest piece is. It isn't because I'm watching my wieght or want less.... it's because I don't think it's fair, if I devide something, then get first pick of pieces that I should be greedy. I don't know when exactly this habit came about other than, between me an my mother we try to out gracious eachother when it comes to picking a pieces ("You pick your piece." "no, you pick yours" etc... )... and perhaps it was a twisted form of generious spite this developed, that I would perposely choose the smaller piece forcing the person trying to be generious to get more(yo, Erin, "YOU EAT THE SCONE!").

Now and update on me...
Ever get the distinct feeling you're not welcome somewhere, despitebeing told otherwise? I've been getting that feeling a lot lately… that feeling of being the odd one out… looked down on… avoided… spited… Itell you, it's not a pleasant feeling. I also am well aware it's a common feeling among the human population. Somehow that doesn't make me feel any better.

I've been keeping my head down as a result, really not wanting to cause any trouble anywhere, fading into the shadows. Mind you, this has been mostly with my 'internet life,' things have been going ok with my 'reallife.'

I am officially graduated from College.

Mom: What do you call someone who gets a D in math?
Me: Passing…?
Mom: No, a College Graduate!

My most recent job possibility fell through. Still looking for work and getting nowhere, Jordan is out of work too. *sigh* I am doing a wee bit of website work to help redesign and update my Church's website.

Anyway, if you folks remember, it was this time last year I cut open my thumb on my right hand. Terror soon followed. Lots of pain. A year since, my thumb is nearly up to full functionality, but I got a permeate split down my thumbnail…kinda annoying. Doesn't hurt, just looks funny.

I swaer I will get to my other projects and art stuffs soon! Really! ...I'm slow and lazy and lame and I suck I know. Your art is coming!

Will be headed to the mystic land of Roscommon for new years again. The most awsomest new years evar, haha!

I would like to say sorry for not getting to the many notes and messages I have been left, I'll get to them... but it may not be for a few more days.

Devious Journal Entry

Sun Dec 18, 2005, 7:53 PM
Alright... here's what's up.  I split open my right thumb.. eight stitches as a result. I pulled my left bicep and both arms are pretty well out of commission.

Edit...

I was making Christmas orinamates, that had to do with swirling paint in clear glass ornimates... while I was doing this I wasn't paying attention to what was around me and my hand went -through- a glass lampshade. The orinamte lived though. Shade did not.
nearly two inch long deep cut across the top of my thumb at the joint, with eight stitches..on the hand I use the most.

I pulled that muscle a week before, but not useing my right arm made it flare up again.

doing a bit better now...can't draw though...

Bitter, jaded? Me? Never.

Thu Nov 10, 2005, 7:52 AM
Good art? Bad art? What's the difference. Honestly. NONE.
It's all about what the viewers want. what THEY think is good, what THEY think is breakthrough, what THEY think is new in different.
There is alot junk out there(DA especially), and always someone willing to go into frenzies for it. Sure, lots of talent too. But heres the funny thing, anyone can be an artist if they really want to, anyone can be a great artist if they really want to(You can try to argue this point, but frankly art comes in many forms so shut the hell up.). What I find increasingly ironic, is the popularity contests that take place on places like this and anywhere on the interenet... It's funny. you can draw or write shit, but have hordes of followers/fans. Then... have this pretencious attiude about their fans... as if their fans OWE them something.

Even the really talented people out there will get this way. Talented and popurlar are particurally prone to this.  Now, I don't mean, not repling to comments all the time.. because granted, not everyone has time for it. But the communication that does occur being rather self-rightous love-me-because-everyone-should...blah, blah, blah, I think you can fill in the blanks there..

What really gets me, is those people who get upset over honest critiques of their work because they are so used to being praised. Frankly, I get worried if all I get is praise, because that doesn't mean it's perfect...nor a great work, it just means I'm not getting feedback. Truth be told, I don't expect alot of constructive critistic on a place like DA unless I specificly ask for it.

Let's get this out, nothing is new, everything has been done in one form or another. Don't fool yourself otherwise, don't put blinders on. However there is inovation, a new spin, a retelling of something that hasn't been 'mainstream' for awhile.  Now what gets me, is these folks who act like they invented or did it first... and people who BELIEVE them. That's just sad. My own work, I can name, at least four classical novels that have a very simealer theme and characters... No, I'm not 'ripping them off,' if we want to split hairs, we all rip shit off all the time.  Now what I'm doing is my own spin, something almost orginal(but not quite), something different from the (current)mainstream.

Where am I going with this? Hell if I know. I just get so tired of seeing the same shit rehashed, and those claiming it's utterly orginal. Please bitch. no. This is very common in online "mangas," I see the same three storylines rehashed and writters and artists trying to tell a story in places they have never been and no very little about.. i.e. no research. If your story is set in a far removed place or time, atleast do your fucking research. it's fucking sick.

yeah so this is a long rambling rant. and I honestly don't care. I have been told, my stuff is orginal for what is currently out there.  Yeah I guess. But that's only because I'm telling a medieval story that isn't fucking manga and/or a lotr rip-off. Manga can kiss my ass. There is far too much manga/anime shit out there, and hordes of people eating out the asses. Here's the funny HISTERICAL thing about anime and manga, it's easy. I can crap that stuff out if I wanted.
I don't.
Why?
It's boring. No challenge whatsoever. I like challenge, it's why I draw, why I write. It feels much more worth it when I'm done.

and lastly...

The elves are nazis...
