I've been meaning to redo that one really old pencil drawing of the two for years. At first I wanted to be hardcore and use only the things I used on the original but after the sketch I just couldn't resist scanning it and playing around with the colours digitally.
I feel like I should try to be more minimalistic for a bit. All those paintings lastly are full of little distracting details that don't really help convey the mood/message of the image at all.
"The morning sun shines on the snow-covered forest as Silverstream and Graystripe split again at the border of the two clans..."
Thanks for coming by! ^-^
Paint Tool SAI (ver. 2) + Photoshop CS6 for minor edits
What a blast from the past this is, seeing these two <33 They look beautiful in your style! The mood feels bright and right in this wistful moment, despite them parting. Far more of a happy memory than what my mind would go to, remembering the story of these two- it’s really lovely
I kind of understand what you mean about the details distracting from the message, it’s something I’ve wanted to focus on lately as well. I look forward to seeing your new work as always! And yes I realize how late of a comment this is xD
Oh my, didn't know you read warriors! It was so nostalgic for me, some years ago I spent a whole summer just entranced in those books and all the great fanart and animations people were making and I wanted SO BAD to be as good as them just so I could illustrate my characters and scenes the way I imagined them
Thanks for this compliment and hey, it's not late at all, honestly I often leave things piling up here on DA and then I find a moment to indulge in all the drawings haha. I'm just glad there's someone out there who takes the time to comment on my own art musings
