DrawBlood pg13and14

Things that are true: there really was a goth guy who passed by me in the halls after history, he really did hold his ears for a few days making me wonder why ... and the reason really was that he'd pierced his ears like that all at once (ouch!). I found him interesting enough, though I didn't know his name or anything about him at that point, to draw him and use his looks for a fictional character. Wrote it as a story with a few pictures back then, brought it back as a comic now.

So is Shena me? sort of yes, sort of no.

Things that are fiction: that bottom left corner panel and its text.

Also, everything about the goth guy character after these pages will be nothing like the real guy from highschool. Absolutely NOTHING like him. So for those of you who knew me from back then, no it's NOT really meant to be him, I just used his appearance as a jumping-off point for inspiration.

the flowers: if you;re not familiar with them, those purple flowers are meant to be crocus, which are the first flowers here in the northeast USA that pop up after winter is over, that's why they're in the transition from winter to spring in the story.
