An Old Friend

This piece was commissioned by Winterheart of their handsome malamute Shirkan. He's just perking up after a long rest, seeing his owner approach his forest den. As Shirkan is getting into his old age, Winterheart wanted to have a special memory to remember him by in the coming years.

It was a real pleasure to work on such a meaningful pet portrait. I occasionally am commissioned for art of pets, and I love doing it every time. People really adore their fuzzy family members and it is always a treat to be a part of that.

Done in Medibang on iPad Pro. I got a bit carried away with the fur texture here, it was too fun!
