"i think the capture is stunning, and the concept, whether or not it was intended to mean anything along the lines of "slave to fashion", is portrayed in a great way. it's eerie, but i just can't look away." - magie.femELLE by *silent-order
If I had to describe this wonderful image in just one word, it would be sublime. Its admirable quality is easily recognizable by the eye of a random observer, though a true esthete could enjoy this stunning capture for hours.
Silent-order developed a distinctive way to communicate with the rest of us, the way that goes beyond words and images. Their unique style is perfectly epitomized in this photo: dramatic posing, clash of brilliantly coordinated textures, dark yet unmistakable colour scheme, impressive couture clothing, even the elegant furniture we are all envious of. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile) - "/>
Just take a look at that tiny waist or porcelain face with such a striking make-up. You just can't stop staring, can you? And once you do, be sure you'll come back for more, again and again. That says enough about the power of this image.
This is absolutely amazing! The composure is excellent, and the color theme appeals to me on a personal level. I love the general desaturation used in the photo, with the red accents helping form points of interest that balance the attention away from the model. The model is quite good at expressing the emotion that is shown in the photo, and must've been very easy to work with. Very good job on the make-up too. Stylings and such appear to be above average. The only things I could possibly disagree with would be a slight oversaturation of white on her left (viewer's right) hand, and maybe a slight loss of sharpness where the photo was retouched. I really love your work and have been watching you for a while, and I find it very appealing that your pieces carry a certain consistency in quality. Overall this is an amazing piece, well worth the time and effort it probably took to bring it to reality.
I like this 'picture/photo' with so much contrast in one colour: red passion (for what, for whom?) and in the black and white, or should I say 'darkness' and 'light'. The face is also not real compared to the other parts of the body.... She seems like an object linked to somebody waiting for the future.
Wow! Amazing composition. Very interesting contrast of color, texture, & light/dark. Is model's waist really this small (corset) or was photo retouched? Great job by model & photographer! A puppet to style! (love the chair too)
