X: inks by Silent-Neutral X: inks by Silent-Neutral
here is X! didn't sell this one, but I would have been reluctant to give him up anyway - I'm happy with these inks..I should do more of these despite killing my pen ten-fold over it xD

Have you tried using a dip pen? That way, you'd be able to save on pens by buying ink--which you can get rather cheaply in large quantities.

I have a bottle of indian ink and a crappy dip pen that smears the ink when I load it... But..wouldn't using those pens to fill in large areas take even longer? I always gathered they were mainly ideal for lineart. I feel there is less control over those things..I'm more confident using biro and felt-tip pens

Hmm... it sounds like your dip pen may be dirty. Does it have a replaceable pen nip/tip? It can take longer, however you can also use a brush to fill in larger areas--which cuts the time almost in half. They traditionally work better for line art and the give on them is that they are less controlled unless you practice with them; you do get a more organic line though. You should always use what feels more comfy, perhaps picking up some large tipped Prisma color, Copic, or even Sharpie markers would help cut time and expense?

yeah it's pretty old. It was given to me. Yes, you can remove the nib, but it's not those free-nib pens that can hold any size nib : ( I want a tiny one xD but they are so expensive.. Yeah I guess : ( I hear the same thing, I just need a good one I suppose, since the one I have is unreliable : p
yup, I have a thick sharpie. Actually, I wanted to use it for this picture, but I couldn't find it at the time, so I just made-do with what I had : p

That sound like a good idea tomorrow going to
the casino with my mother because they are giving out
free water bottle and I use on for college.

Then Sunday I am getting a free backpack that I need for school which I want.
Pretty cool and I don't have to spin any money either.

Try working smaller; it won't kill as many pins and keeps your workspace much more manageable. Other than that, it looks fantastic. ^__^

lol yes, my poor pens xD i wanted to use my sharpie but didnt have it on me at the time of this pic. i dont think a5 is too big though, it's only half of a4 size - it just takes a while to fill in areas...but yeh, if i had my sharpie, it would have been a quicker job : p
