Bone Eaters: Guide

Description

A closed species I'm starting up; So please dont make your own. I'll be doing some adopts very soon- and possibly a few MYOs after that

- A virus that affects a species of Ram, mutating their body fluid and bones. It has affected some decedents of them also, as long as they have ram genetics. Although, the more diluted the genes, the more rare it is for them to be effected. (Ram/Goats are the ones affected, so they are the common type. When you obtain a MYO slot, it will be for the Rams unless you are cleared for a rarity.)

- Because its a virus, their body isnt affected until they've come into contact with it. Their bodies stop growing at that time, no matter the size or age. Although, the younger they are, the more likely their body is to die since they are unable to defend themselves, or find adequate food sources.

- Stress causes their skin to deteriorate faster.

- After being affected by the virus, it is impossible to be "Whole" again. The first rot point is permanent, even if they are able to regrow other parts of their body.

- Their teeth are mainly for defense- when they need to protect themselves. Their own bones are immune to the acidic saliva their body produces. The saliva is made to dissolve organic material, but is unable to affect synthetic or metals. They can control the amount they produce, as to not waste it. They break down bones in their mouth, instantaneously absorbing everything.

- Black bones are unable to regrow, but white bones can grow back with enough nutrients.

- They are able to die from decapitation or starvation.

- Reproduction is possible, but they would need enough flesh to carry a pregnancy. Their children will have been touched by the virus and become immune to it. They have a high rate of miscarriage. Males are able to reproduce with females of other species.

- They become aggressive and competitive when there are multiple bone eaters in one area. They have a strong sense of smell, and can sense others easily. Their saliva gives off a specific scent.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, I'll try to flesh them out more for you.
