Age of the Soul

I was in a pretty bad art slump recently, so I just sat down and started drawing to get out of it with genuinely no end game in mind. But while I was adding the final touches to this piece, a philosophical question hit me.

When we pass away and become angels, do we actually revert back to a younger age, or do we stay the same? Honestly, I feel like some older folks would actually accept their older looks and would rather stay like that. Why would you want to erase the wrinkles and the age? Those lines are a marker that you lived a full, fulfilling life. You earned those features by surviving and experiencing everything life had to offer.

So, this is "Age of the Soul"—an older spirit with angel wings who kept her age and wears it with pride.
