Just saw your SU- I couldn't agree more. Finally, some recognition for people who've been self isolating for most of their lives.
Ah! Yes, being a solitary sort of person seems always to be labelled as unhealthy and improper - very few people seem to recognise that for some it’s the most natural and comfortable thing in the world.

That is most thoughtful! Our place is sort of a paradigm of self isolation, what with no live neighbours and woods where no one goes but me and Finn; consequently I am (knock wood) healthy and able. I manage shopping on Fridays en masque (sorry, couldn't resist) and one of Raphael's carers helps out during the week. The menagerie is well, also, and we have just gotten three new chickens. Gives a whole new dimension to 'pecking order' . How is your work with animals these days?

I’m very glad to hear that you’re well! There are many many beautiful, quiet spots I enjoy, but to have a woodland of my own as you do is pretty much my raison d’être. And a cottage. Enjoy! Do the new chickens have names?
My work with Shropshire wildlife trust is continuing remotely, I am enjoying it very much (mostly social media work), but I do miss being there. Hey ho, I’ve seen two otters in broad daylight recently near the house, and captured another on my camera trap.
