A dear friend lives in Vegas and I've visited many times. Judging by what people I know who live there say, it's a very dynamic place to live!

How weird! I just moved away from Las Vegas! What part of town did you choose?

We found a house in the Green Valley area, south-west of the 15-215 interchange. I have found it stunning how many people I know or am acquainted with who have lived in Vegas at some point or other. It seems like one of those places that sucks people in for a while, and then eventually many will escape. 
You'll love it there! My parents in that same area.
It's hard to leave Vegas. People call the local university the University of Never Leaving Vegas (University of Nevada Las Vegas). It's true, too! I would have left as soon as I could, but then I got a scholarship.. and met my husband.. and so on and so on. I'm just not a big fan of hot weather, which is why I moved to Portland, OR

Green Valley is definitely one of the nicer places to live.There are a lot of things I'm looking forward to, and a lot of things I'm not looking forward to. I'm moving there because Diana was accepted into UNLV for a PhD program, and as an artist it doesn't matter much where I am. I am definitely planning to make the most of it, and I am happy for the changes it will bring.

Ok, now I have just one more reason to want to visit Las Vegas again. You'll actually be closer than you were before, despite being out of state! Sounds like a really positive move, and I'm excited for you!
