Haunting! It makes me think of WWII for some reason - I couldn't say why.

Great piece!

The bright yellow and the blue actually really work well in this, where usually you would expect darker colours. The image is gruesome, ethereal and beautiful at the same time, I really like this :)

interesting choice of color, i've never really associated blue and yellow with hell or devils, but with that green haze it works really well in this piece. when i see the background i think of plagues and chemicals - a rather pestilent atmosphere. there's not a lot of particular elements, but just enough so that i want to ask, "what happened here?" and try to piece together a story

I'm normally not a fan of bright colors, but there is something so intriguing about this piece. I like the texture and presence the brushstrokes create. Even with the bright yellow, my eye still follows along with all the various details put into the piece.

I really love what you did with the yellow in this :D Normally I think of yellow as a warm soothing colour, but there's so much and so saturated that it ends up feeling sinister.

You don't usually see these colours in darker/horror work, it's surprising how well they actually work :) Will you be selling prints?

Thanks! :) I totally stole the color scheme off of a Beksinski painting that I think was about World War I, something about this coloration really evokes that mustard gas look. Yellow's a fascinating one to work with. Just the wrong (or right) amount of saturation and it becomes acid.

I do sell prints, but not over here, I have an inprnt shop. www.inprnt.com/gallery/schatur…

Interesting perspective. I like how he's not a full skeleton, but rather a desiccated humanoid.
