The Bench of Lost Coats

I trusted the temptation
willingly allowed the 
seduction to soar

a beggar to 
scraps of ambiguity

raced into a comforting
place of brittle hope

knowing the transformation
accepted only my soul

while "no one cared" remained
soaking up the latest scores...
