One of the spells Neil learned as an air mage is Night Vision. As he stands up, his eyes glow an intense neon green-yellow. Although the spell allows him to see what's in the dark, it does make him visible in the dark. As long as he is careful with its use, Neil can still navigate dark places with stealth.

Neil turns left from where he stood up and slowly walks toward a corner. No monsters or visible signs of danger yet. Not even strange sounds. Still, in dark, abandoned places, especially ones that resemble a dungeon of some kind, it behooves one to not draw attention if it can be helped.
