I'm temporarily not going over my notifications, it's more important I concentrate on more commonly mood-boosting things. Sorry for the wait.
This year has been pretty tough so far, but thankfully I've got my family, boyfriend (Joshua), my dog (Nellie), and lots of things to do. I've got friends too, but I've been isolating myself in most ways. Not necessarily healthy, but I get overwhelmed trying to talk to them all and a lot of the time I'm just trying to avoid thinking and talking about the things that have happened. It's just me, Nellie, Joshua, some family, my Creative Bible, and the Internet.
Long story short, I've been struggling with mental illness for over eight years. I was diagnosed with depression when I was twelve (which evolved to Major Depression
after age seventeen), and most recently when I was twenty I was re-diagnosed with Bipolar Type One Disorder
. I know there are lots of stereotypes, some based on confusion about bipolar disorder
. Reading about mental illness in this day is often necessary to understand anyone with one mental illness or more - especially if we want to evolve as people.
I do really enjoy getting out of the house (especially sight seeing on car rides), but when I'm home it takes a lot of motivation to get out of the house.
I'm coloring advanced (aka adult) coloring books, so that's good.
Dogs and music can be some of the best therapy. Singing does wonders too.
Now if only I had a Smartphone to play Pokémon GO.
