I was looking through some stock photos of the Bog-side in the 1970s. I was struck by the "everyday" images of kids on the street standing next to soldiers. I took this idea and generated three images that combine everyday images with a marine in riot gear. I replaced the wall of the black and white photo with a red brick wall and changed the scale and orientation. I wanted it to feel like an imposing super structure.
