This illustration was for Advanced Photoshop Magazine who asked me to do a tutorial for their magazine. I'm not that happy with the image, mainly because I had to document each step as I went along. I don't work in a straight forward step by step way, I experiment a lot as I'm going along, seeing if different colours or techniques will work in certain areas. Having to document each step made me feel too confined and wasn't a comfortable way of working. Oh well.

The issue with this tutorial in will be out soon I think, I will post information of it in my journal when I know.

well... i think it's a really nice artwork... i know it was difficult with that pressure that you had to write every step you do...

but i see hope, the colors are nice and i absolutely love the crazy cameras out there...

No, this one was done a while ago I just took a while to put it up here. The inspiration for this was from current events.

I had a similar problem on a piece I did for a contest. Showing things "step by step" can be a big hindrance. In any case, it's a wonderful image! :)

Oooh, I cant wait for the tutorial! I have always wanted to see the process of your work

---especially how you do your textures and scratches. Do you used scanned textures? Or do you make it all in photoshop?

All the textures are made by hand and then scanned in.
