Does anybody even remember why we really loved Shrek? What was really so likeable about it? The movies? You know the time when Shrek was a movie that was about a land where fairy tales live together. Nowadays Shrek is seen a "god" who one time raped a child and gets his face shoved into many nonsensical scenes, including stupid ogre puns and the one song "smashmouth - all-star". Although some of these memes where likeable alot of them are obnoxious and also i'm pretty sure to this point the peoples views on Shrek have completely distorted, barely remembering the movies. Its safe to say that indeed the internet ruined Shrek. Also the "praising" of Shrek, people only do that solely because of the Meme and nothing else, well you know what:
Shrek is NOT love, Shrek is NOT life.
Shrek was part of my childhood, but as a movie, not a punny ogre who once in some odd fanfiction raped a 9 year old kid and then flew out of the window.
Don't take this too serious i'm not mad but it had to be said. Shrek is dead.
(Also as of note this account was made back in 2009, 5 years before the Shrek is Love, Shrek is life fanfiction which spawned the corruption of Shrek)
