Vampire Hunter Lieutenant Estellia Highlander – Never Defeated

Triggered by exposure to the blood of a Paragon, the genetic anomaly that Wolf harbors allows her to manifest vampiric abilities. Though she is respected for her skills and is well liked, the condition is thought of harshly by most of the soldiers in the Alley. Standing above her traumatic past, she refuses to allow anyone to ever get the best of her. Personal weakness is abhorrent, and she’ll never again be put in the position where someone needs to suffer to protect her. In her strength she finds promise for the future and no one will strip her of that. With what time she has, she will do as much good as she can, and will use her abilities protect those she loves.

Lost Infernal Banner by ShonnaWhite

Having brushed her tragic past behind a twisted sense of humor, Lieutenant Estellia Highlander lives to be the best. When a god-like vampire returns fifty years after nearly destroying the Alley, the military division she works for orders Estellia to assassinate him. Their hopes to prevent another war lies within the powerful mutation she carries that makes her more like the target she hunts than to humans. Her mission takes her deep into vampire society where she discovers that something far more sinister than the Paragon vampire Michael Bayne is emerging. If she and Michael cannot work together to defeat the rising darkness, humanity could be lost.

I have tried to draw scar/ burn marks on the skin but horribly failed at it. If I did it digitally it would probably be easier.

This is cool though.

Digital was easier for me, I dont' think I could have done it justice with graphite. Even with digital though, it took a couple tries to get it right.

Yah ... I'm more excited for Jonathan Frakes, but my best bud is dying for Shatner, so we'll probably get in or die trying :3

Heheh, I was in LOVE with Jonathan Frakes growing up. I had such a huge crush on him. Funny though, I married a guy who looks just like he did, only with brown eyes instead of blue. Time has widened the gap in their looks but it was hilarious. My husband even had the red Star Trek uniform.

She loved him enough that she was willing to die to save him. The memory of the night he died continues to haunt her almost ten years later, where the book actually begins. She's never let herself heal from his loss because of what she's had to become to do what he asked of her. All that aside though, she's a funny person with a lot wit. She uses her loss to give her strength.

Once they discovered the anomoly in her gnees, the Alley never gave her a choice about becoming a vampire hunter. Rather than fight it every day of her life and be miserable, she's learned to enjoy what she does. By being the best, she gets the opportunity to help innocent people by killing the vampires who don't have the humanity that her lover did.

:) All this comes out in the first three chapters. :D

I just successfully killed two characters, bringing the death toll of the last four chapters up to three. Three more chapters of completely new text and I'm good to start looking for an agent. WHEW!!

It can be but you have to keep in mind why you brought them into the story and what their purpose was. Only one of them was hard to kill off, even though I've always known that what going to happen anyway. As the villain put it, "He had to die, it's as simple as that."
