It dawns on me that I've been pumping things out on social media, but not here. So check me out!

Check out this fun Author Interview with the Calgary Journal:

And if you need reason to interview me or give me shout outs, I now how proof doing so brings all the boys to the yard! Also a soundcloud clip of the shoutout in question:

If you're interested I've done a tonne of interviews: TV, Radio, Blog/Pod cast interviews, spoken to art classes, spoken at career forums, etc. ... just drop me a line. Most times I'm totally cool with it.
I've (finally) updated the gallery page of and added a series of wallpapers for an Allies and Enemies series. You'll have to await the book to find out which is which. Currently, the book is with a publisher as they decide if they're going to move forward with it.

Wish  me luck, guys! (you'll give me a huge boost by liking any of my Lost Infernal social media pages Twitter Facebook)

I should know by the end of September if they want to know more. If they do proceed, YAY! If not, I"ll self publish while proceeding to bash my head against the doors of agents in hopes they'll invite me in.
I've been moved since Jared Padalecki started speaking about his struggles with depression. Mental health is a hard subject to talk about. We're taught to suck it up, Princess, and move on. Society relies on people who don't have the tools to heal themselves, to somehow give those tools to their children. All the while, we're told if we can't overcome, if we are overwhelmed, we are less. We are crazy. We are weak. We are undeserving of respect.

Jared Padalecki's #alwayskeepfighting campaign has inspired me to talk publicly about something I've be talking about in small ways.

I broke.

I fell.

And fighting had always been my problem.

This is why:…
EDIT: DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT use their forms and submit any information to them directly. There are rumours of this website doubling as a phishing scam and downloading malware after form submission.

In addition to contacting the below, sign this petition to have them taken down. It's at 53,000 signatures as of this post.…;

If you have any public images on the internet, the likelihood is that this company is offering to sell that image via a print.
I mean everything. I've found my my profile pictures, expo floor maps, people gardening images, vacation photos, pictures of kids.

Their search bar is ridiculous and only works a portion of the time, so keep hitting that search button until something shows up. It's all based off search terms. TONNES of DeviantArt artists are being ripped off, like their ENTIRE GALLERIES.

It took me about 5 - 6 tries to get certain ones of mine to show up.

I've been in touch with the Registrar of the website (not the company, so they're actually worth talking to). I'm going to provide you with the email address for the website, the Registrar, and my ticket number. Spread this around and let's inundate these fuckers with so many take down requests they shut down the site!

Contacted the website Registrar for and they have been in contact with the website. They have removed the links I provided them with my art on it, and they've taken them down.
I've informed them that I will be searching for the rest of my art and will have all my artist friends contact them with links to their art for them to take down.
On that note, spread this shit around and let's inundate the fuckers with take down requests.

4 loooong loooong days, two very sore feet, a half lost voice, and much awesomeness later, I wanted to make sure to say THANK YOU to everyone who is supporting me in my art. What an amazing year at the Calgary Expo. It was a record breaker, not only for me, but also for them. Over 100,000 people showed up and I feel like I saw most of you!

I am overwhelmed by your love of my work, guys, and can't say thank you enough. I even made a thank you video, with some of my highlights from the expo mentioned in there: Thank You, From The Lady Selling Half-Naked Men At The Calgary Expo , as well as some promises from upcoming expos.

HUGE props to everyone who came by and told me they follow me on DeviantART! That was amazing! This place is so huge is can seem like I'd never meet any of you, so it's great when I can.

#CalgaryExpo Time!

Wed Apr 15, 2015, 9:20 AM
April 16 - 19 you can find me SMACK DAB in the middle of Artist Alley (more or less), selling my arts and hanging with ma peeps. If you're in town, make sure to swing by and say hello!

If you're not, keep an eye out on my profile page here, or on Twitter for pics and updates throughout the event! I'm hoping to get my butt over to give Stephen Amell and Jason Momoa a copy of their portraits at some point, and I'll let you know how that goes. Responses are typically good, but so far the best come from J August Richards and Dean Cain.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Oh, Internet, you bastard

Thu Jan 29, 2015, 8:44 AM
There's this thing with the internet, when you put things on it, sometimes they take on a life of their own. Especially with people who are jackasses out there.

In this edition of craziness, I'm going to let a few DA artists I can identify know that their art has been used to advertise this questionable author's books, sometimes as covers, sometimes as illustrations for the books. The author is Russian, and so are all the sites, but if you copy the URL into a Google search bar, you can find it and get Google to translate it for you.

Whoever is doing this is grabbing images from all over the net, yours, mine, celebrities . . .  They don't seem to have any scruples. That being said, I thought you guys might want to know. Also, you might be able to identify other DA artists. Fortunately, many of the images used for illustration, include the watermarks/signatures that have been put on them originally. However, book covers do not, and usage in either case for the sale of their product is deplorable.

The author's email address is at the top of the page, but here it is:
The 'cover artist' for many of the book covers also has an email address:

The offending author can be found at:…

DA Artists I can identify include a couple of me favs. Unfortunately, I know they're all too used to dealing with crap like this:

Stolen Art

Mon Jan 26, 2015, 8:34 AM
Hey all, I just want to send a thanks out to people who report art being displayed on accounts that don't belong to the original artist.

I'm not going to mention names, lest they don't want the attention, but I recently had two people report to me that my Terra / Xemnas piece had been yoinked by…

Terra by ShonnaTheWhite

When I went to check it out, my response was very Canadian. I messaged the little blighter who took my art with a thank you for liking my stuff and then shared legitimate ways to share. It wasn't until after that I noticed a couple of other things:

1. The entire gallery is composed of other people's works
2. They were using these works as examples for commissions
3. They obviously know better ways to share art they like, as they're a group Admin.

So after reporting the user to DA, and reporting the piece that was taken, I want to put this out there:

The internet is full of douchebags. Thank you to everyone who does their part to make sure those aforementioned douchebags are reported and called out for their actions. I tip my hat to you.

New Picture In Progress!

Fri Sep 5, 2014, 11:04 PM
I've got a new work in progress! As I get my (very late) ass in gear for the Edmonton Expo, I'm going to be trying to pump out a lot of pictures quickly here. If you want to stay up to date with my works in progress, head to either my Twitter or Facebook accounts!

I'll post them on my DA account once I'm done, of course.

Podcast interview with Shonna

Hey there guys, I was recently interviewed by Tracy at the Lovecraft Gallery here in Calgary. We talk art, DeviantART, copyright, sexuality . . . it was a lot of fun. Check it out here:…

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Still Here And Getting Ramped Up

Wed Jul 9, 2014, 3:19 PM
Hey guys, I've been away quite a bit lately dealing with some rather draining personal stuff, but no fear, I plan on getting back on the bandwagon soon. I'm working on a very rare commission and I have an idea for my next piece too . . . anyone out there like Batman?

I still have my list of suggestions you guys give me way back when, which is getting harder to get to with the moneymaking drawings being ones of guests at the expos I go to. But I wanted to let you know those are still in the back of my mind. In the meantime, let me know if you have other suggestions for guys you'd like me to draw - real or animated!

Not very active, am I?

Sun May 25, 2014, 8:41 PM
I've been away for a little while, barely working on art, or even replying. Please know I still love you all and will be back at it soon. I have several more drawings upcoming for the Edmonton Expo in September, anyway, so I have motivation.

For those of you who don't know, a year ago I went in for a routine procedure at the hospital that went badly. By badly I mean that, with 100% certainty, I can tell you that internal bleeding is not as peaceful as they show it in movies, and is in fact 4x worse than induced childbirth. I've just passed the anniversary of my little escapade to the edge of death, and am not in the art mood much lately. I developed PTSD and finding motivation can be . . . difficult. (on the plus side of this, it's much easier to write a character that has PTSD once you've actually experienced it and understood the irrationalness of it.)

Still, I love what I do and I love all the comments I get coming in, even if I'm being a bit of an antisocial twit right now. It's not you, it's totally me.

So, I'm pretty sure I'm going to face a rebellion of some sort if I don't draw Misha Collins soon, so I'll be drawing him for the Edmonton Expo. For the next Calgary one, I'll probably do the brothers as well. Can't remember the other ones I'm facing rebellion over, but I'm sure I'll remember soon.

Much love yawl and talk to you soon.

Someone I know received an incredibly violent spam email threatening their life and the life of their family. I want to make sure that as many people know of this email as possible, so they know that it is in fact spam. (yes, it was reported to the police so they're aware of it as well).
Please spread this around so no one feels the need to be afraid:

I am very sorry for you, it's a pity that this is how your life is going to end if you don't comply. As you can see there is no need of introducing myself to you because I don't have any business with you, my duty as I am mailing you now is just to KILL you and I have to do it as I have already been paid for that.

Someone you call a friend wants you Dead by all means, and the person have spent a lot of money on this, the person also came to us and told me that he wanted you dead and he provided us with your name ,picture and other necessary information's about you. So I sent my boys to track you down and they have carried out the necessary investigation needed for the operation on you, and they have done that but I told them not to kill you that I will like to contact you and see if your life is Important to you or not since their findings shows that you are innocent.

I called my client back and ask him of your email address which I didn't tell him what I wanted to do with it and he gave it to me and I am using it to contact you now. As I am writing to you now my men are monitoring you and they are telling me everything about you.

Now do you want to LIVE OR DIE? As someone has paid us to kill you. Get back to me now if you are ready to pay some fees to spare your life, $7,000 is all you need to spend You will first of all pay $3,000 then I will send a tape to you which I recorded every discussion i had with the person who wanted you dead and as soon as you get the tape, you will pay the remaining $4,000. If you are not ready for my help, then I will carry on with my job straight-up.

As soon as the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo wraps, I'm doing a print in support of the launch of a new Calgary art gallery called "Lovecraft Gallery". This isn't just a regular gallery, it's a great business venture for artists. But, I can't do it justice. Head here:… to read about the Kickstarter.

This upcoming Original and available prints will ONLY be available in support of this amazing venture.

I'll post a WATERMARKED version of it here on DeviantART as soon as it's done.

Please share this post with as many people as you can, and help me raise funds for Lovecraft Gallery.

Sharing The Love

Wed Mar 19, 2014, 12:11 PM
You all know I'm borderline insane when it comes to my video game obsessions. My wallpaper on my laptop AND my work computer is MasterChief from Halo (one not pieced together by me), and I've recently created another paper for my laptop's lock screen. Yup, I even hacked my system to have this as my custom lock screen (geeeeeeeeeeek).

Because I know how many of my DA followers also have my proclivities, here you go!

Sometimes You Just Have To Give In

Mon Mar 3, 2014, 7:45 PM
For the most part I try to understand why people act the way they do. There are times, however, that someone's attempts to degrade others make me step up. Now, I'm not stepping up for someone else here, though I've been known to do it. This is what happened when I tweeted out my Caius Ballad crush, and the drawing I did because of it.

Geek Shaming/Grammar Fail

It was not so much this that made me laugh, but the people following up in defense of her poor grammar.

Now, my friends, keep in mind that what you do and say on the internet instantly becomes public fodder, right or wrong. Be careful what you put out there.
